UPDATES: Race Weekend/Royalty/uOttawa is open

Quick Updates for GO Kingfish: Traffic, Royalty, and uOttawa is OPEN!
Parents:
We would like to inform/remind you of a few items upcoming around @ Ottawa:
Traffic/Road Closures:
- Race Weekend- May 24/25: This is Race weekend in Ottawa. Thus, please be aware that there may be some road closures. Please read the following article to see if your route to De lile or Carleton may be effect.
- Royalty-May 26-27: The King/Queen of England coming to Ottawa next Monday and Tuesday. Thus, there will be some road closures around downtown and airport parkway. Please read the following to see affected roads.
uOttawa Open: uOttawa is open this Monday May 26. Please note the following from uOttawa:
- The pool was completely drained, and new water is now in the pool and tiles/cement worked on.
- The main item being worked on at uOttawa are the changerooms. The general contractor remains hard at work on the shower project in both the male and female change rooms – thus they are still working on that part!
- There will be 6 showers available in the men’s and 3 showers in the women’s for the week of May 26th. Thus, swimmers need to work together to take quick showers after morning workouts so everyone can get cleaned up after practice!
- Additional showers will come online in the women’s changeroom during the week of June 2nd.
- The changeroom is an ongoing project and will take some time to finish as they are reconfiguring them and adding a universal changeroom.
- We are excited to get back to uOttawa!
Please contact us if you have any immediate questions.
Have a great weekend!
Jason
