Manta Comes Together At Swimming Trials

General Manager

Before the competitive season commenced, MANTA coaching staff delivered a message to the swimmers that all members of MANTA are a part of the same team. While it was acknowledged that each meet lies at a different level on the competitive hierarchy, the coaches didn’t want that to suggest that one meet should be taken more seriously than another. The coaching staff wanted MANTA to be seen as a single entity throughout the season that was constantly pushing forward and striving for improvement at every level…

Mission accomplished!

MANTA had 6 swimmers put together a complete weekend at the 2019 Canadian Swimming Trials held in Toronto; complete in a sense that there were solid performances in a variety of events on all five days of competition. These well-rounded performances exemplified the upside of developing expanded swimming résumés, which is something that MANTA has been working towards since the beginning of the competitive season.

We had a great meet achieving 95% best times and several second swims in finals.  Congratulations Sam, Anja, Megan, Payton, Oksana and Ruslan. Also, Congratulations to Ruslan Gaziev for being nominated to Team Canada for the 2019 FISU GAMES (Summer Universiade) in Naples Italy.

Great Job MANTA

GO MANTA GO!!!!
