BEST FEST TOUR - RERIE CAPTURES GOLD!

Payton headed to Spain to take part in the BestFest Tour in Mallorca, Spain from May 22nd - June 2nd, 2019. The goal of this tour was to provide Canada’s identified swimmers and their coaches, the development opportunities to establish the will, attitude, and skills required to race to the podium at the Junior/Senior International level and that’s exactly what it did.
 

The training group right from Day 1 displayed commitment, dedication, drive, determination and hard work towards their activation, training sets, and races throughout the week. This tour provided a unique format allowing swimmers to race/train/race, which overtime will help with their preparation and overall development. The group also had an opportunity to train with Team England and Team Scotland throughout the week, which enhanced their training and established friendships throughout the week and life.

As this was Payton’s first Swimming Canada tour, she posted some great results over the week in the pool in training and in her open water races.
