TOP TEN FINISH FOR MANTA SWIM CLUB IN CALGARY

General Manager

After a great weekend of swimming at our Manitoba Saskatchewan Provincial Championships, which displayed a lot of character, passion, hard work, fun and support, Manta swimmers were looking to prove that they belong among the best in Canada during the Canadian Junior Nationals in Calgary, Alberta on July 24th – July 28th, 2019.

Continual program development and buying into a belief system has paved the way for MANTAs amplifying team success on various stages of competition that the sport of swimming has to offer. “Hard working” has infused itself as an attribute with MANTA’s cultural DNA; creating well rounded people/athletes that contribute to MANTA’s values and actions each day.  A bigger stage can add pressure for an athlete or a team to perform. Instead of pressure allowing for detriments in performance, a background of hard work and diligence transforms pressure into a privilege.

MANTA swimmers rose to the occasion throughout the week of competition and finished in the Top 10 place out of 154 clubs that attended the meet. Numbers do not necessarily tell the whole story an organization’s progress, but they can most certainly illuminate perspective on a path a club has taken.
