Congratulations Oksana! After a two year long recruitment process and year long wait after commitment, today is the NCAA National Letter of Intent (NLI) signing day! The NLI is the formal agreement between the NCAA, the Big 10 Conference, and the University of Minnesota. This is the day that Oksana formally became a University of Minnesota Gopher Swimming and Dive Team member! After years of hard work, focus, commitment, discipline and above all athletic excellence, you have achieved a remarkable milestone!
The University of Minnesota is located in Minneapolis, MN and is a member of the NCAA Big 10 Conference, which part of the Power Five Conferences. The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, is among the top research universities in the United States, with award-winning faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and world-class academics. The University of Minnesota Gophers Swimming and Dive Team has a long and established history athletic excellence, having placed seven Olympians on the United States Olympic Swim Team and Canadian Swim Teams; 8 National Champions; All-American Athletes, since to 1974; consistently fielding Big 10 Champions since to 1970; and winning 16 Big 10 Championships.
Oksana would like to thank the Manta Swim Club for 11 amazing years of personal and athletic growth; her Coaches - Tom Hainey, Rob Novak, Tomasso Panizza and most importantly Szilvie Carriere!
