MANTA IS BACK AND LOOKING STRONG FOR THE 2022-23 SEASON AFTER A STELLAR FINISH TO LAST SEASON!

General Manager

Manta Swim Club has started up for the 2022/23 swim season. Competitive groups have
returned to the water this week and all programming beginning October 3rd .

Manta finished off last year’s season in fine style with medal performances at Canada Games by
Manta swimmers Mia West Eric Dupre and Halle West. Combined these swimmers one all the
medals for Team Manitoba swimming outside of the Special Olympic Category. Dupre’s medal
was the first Male medal for Manitoba in over 2 decades! Manta swimmers represented the
Province extremely well with over close to have the team coming from Manta.

Manta swimmers then went on to race and compete at the Jr Pan Pacific Championships in
Hawaii. Mia West and Eric Dupre along with Coach Tommaso represented the club and country
very well with both swimmers placing in the finals and breaking numerous Manitoba Records.

Manta 2022/23 season is looking just as bright as we start up our Academy Program for new
swimmers and continue building our development of high-performance swimmers aiming to win
both Spring and Summer Man-Sasks as well as sending a large contingent to Canadian Trials and
Western Championships. We have also brought on board Undefeated Performance who will be
running our strength and condition program at their facility on Waverly. This new partnership,
we believe will help our swimmers make even more progress this year!
