Meghan Whittaker Head Coach

Group: Senior A
NCCP Certification: Level 3 (Senior Coach)

Meghan Whittaker has been involved with competitive swimming for over 25 years. She began her swimming career in Saskatoon where she swam for both the Goldfins and then the Lasers. Meghan attended Minnesota State University in Mankato where she swam for the MSU Mavericks for 4 years and was Co- Captain her Senior year. She was a 4 year letter winner as well as Academic All-American all 4 years. In Meghan's senior year, she was awarded the Maverick Achievement Award. 

Upon graduating from MSU, she returned home and spent 2 seasons as the Assistant Head Coach with the Saskatoon Lasers (with a brief stint as Interim Head Coach as well) before making the move to Regina and the Regina Optimist Dolphins. Over the course of her 2 years with the RODS as the Assistant Head Coach, Meghan was part of a staff that coached the team to the most successful season they had achieved in over a decade- highlighted by the RODS winning the title of Manitoba/Saskatchewan Provincial Champions in March 2013.

Over the course of her coaching career, Meghan has coached multiple Canadian Trials Qualifiers, National medalists, Western & Eastern National medalists, Provincial medalists and multiple swimmers to Saskatchewan Provincial Records.

Meghan is extremely proud to be coming off of MMST's most successful seasons the last few years where our athletes surpassed the number of qualifiers at every single level (Regional through Canadian Trials) compared to the previous years as well as a record number of athletes at every national level meet over the past 10 years. 

Meghan is excited to be entering her 13th season with MMST and her 8th season as Head Coach!

Richard Tse Assistant Head Coach

Group: Senior B & Senior Development 
NCCP Certification: Level 3 (Senior Coach)

Richard Tse was a competitive swimmer for 9 years before starting his coaching career with Markham Aquatic Club.  In his five years at MAC, he coached several swimmers to become Festival and Central Regional medalists.  With MAC, they also won multiple Central Regional and Festival team championships.

Richard began his swimming career at the Richmond Hill Aquatic Club.  He was an Age Group National qualifier in multiple events in IM, Breast, Back and Fly.  He also swam with the York University Varsity team and helped break the 4 x 100 MR record.

This is his 9th year with the Milton Marlin Swim Team and he is excited to help develop his athletes to reach their fullest potential!

Caleb Colling Assistant Coach

Group:  Senior C & Junior A/B
NCCP Certification:
 Level 2 (Age Group Coach)

Caleb Colling has been apart of the Milton Marlin's for 13 years as a competitive swimmer having started swimming with the team at the age of 6. Caleb has been a provincial level athlete for the past 6 seasons as well as having qualifed and competed at the Eastern Canadian National Championships. 

Caleb started coaching 4 years ago with the academy groups and assisting with novice. 

Caleb really enjoys coaching and is always excited to go to swim meets as a coach to watch and cheer on his swimmers. He has lots of fun coaching and enjoys working with the kids and teaching them new skills. Caleb always wants his swimmers to work hard but mainly have lots of fun when swimming!

Laura Goodman Assistant Coach

Group:  Junior Development & Novice
NCCP Certification:  Level 2 (Age Group Coach)

From 1996 to 2013, Laura coached with the Milton Marlin Swim Team, leading programs for swimmers aged 6 to 14. She ran the Mini Marlins (now Swim Academy), emphasizing stroke technique, and later coached the Silver Group (now Senior Development) and Bronze/Purple Groups (now Junior & Junior Development), focusing on advanced training. Laura also supported the Gold Group, working with top athletes at provincial and national levels.

Between January 2014 and August 2016, Laura led the Marlins Swimming Club in Trinidad & Tobago as Head Coach, overseeing training for both competitive and junior learn to swim swimmers. She managed meet entries, maintained strong parent communication, and fostered a supportive nurturing environment where technical skill-building was paired with thoughtful mentorship.

Laura holds a Level 2 Coaching Certificate and is also an avid competitive Masters swimmer. She has coached Masters programs and served as the coach of record for swim clinics with the Ontario Women’s Triathlon Series.

Laura's coaching philosophy centers around the belief that swimming is not just a sport—it’s a tool for building resilience, discipline, and self-belief. She strives to create a space where athletes feel supported, challenged, and inspired to pursue their personal best both in and out of the water.

Carolyn Kubas Masters Coach

Group: Masters & Youth Flex (Wed)
NCCP Certification: Level 1 (Fundamentals Coach)

Carolyn has been in the coaching industry for over 20 years. Starting with personal training in both individual and group corporate settings, then to the triathlon world and helped start up Milton’s first Family focussed triathlon club. With a personal training and multi sport training background, swim workouts incorporate both technical skill overall fitness improvement. The Masters Swim program is focussed on creating an enjoyable environment while improving physical health.

 
 
Madison Macor Assistant Coach


NCCP Certification: Level 1 (Fundamentals Coach)

Madison was a swimmer for 12 years and just recently retired from the sport after representing the Milton Marlins swim team for 8 years, and most recently the University of Calgary Dinos for 4 and a half. In her varsity career she swam to 2 Bronze Canada West Championship medals, the first for 200m Breastroke in 2019, and then in the 50m Breastroke in 2023. Madison first qualified for the Canadian Trials in 2014 and remained qualified for this meet annually throughout her career.

During her time on the Milton Marlins, Madison coached both Novice and Academy for 2 years. Throughout her time in Calgary, she coached the Provincial and National levels of the University of Calgary Swim Team for 2 and a half years including Summer Swim Camps with the younger kids.

Madison is graduating with a Visual of Fine Arts Bachelors Degree. She has been awarded with Academic All Canadian Status each year of her Undergarduate Degree, and made the Dean’s list over the past 3 years. She was nominated to be apart of the leadership squad on the U of C team in her 4th year of study.

Madison is very excited for this next chapter of her life that involves moving back to her hometown and becoming a Marlin once again as a Coach!

Michael Wagner Assistant Coach

Kyle Zammit Assistant Coach


NCCP Certification: Level 2 (Age Group Coach)

Kyle Zammit was a competitive swimmer for 16 years. He swam with the Milton Marlins for 11 years before continuing his swimming career at the University of Guelph for 4 years. Before graduating from the Milton Marlins, outside of the pool, Kyle was a part of the Academy coaching program for 5 years, and in the pool, excelled in distance freestyle events at the Provincial and National level since the age of 12.

 

At the University of Guelph Kyle, was awarded Men’s Rookie MVP and Most Improved Athlete in his first year. In his second year, Kyle was selected to be a part of the Student-Athlete Emerging Leadership Academy at the University and was nominated Co-Captain for his final 2 years. 

 

Kyle took Human Kinetics while at the University of Guelph and was named to the OUA academic honours list during his 4 years as a student-athlete. Kyle’s success both in and out of the pool has proved a strong basis of understanding for the sport and its background.

 

Kyle is excited to return in his second official year with the Milton Marlin Coaching staff and excited to help guide his athletes to their fullest potential.
