BARRACUDA FUNDRAISING 2019 – 2020
Throughout the swim season we provide ongoing and seasonal fundraising opportunities for Barracuda families to participate in to credit their Fundraising Levy (FRL).
Please note: Fundraising levy credits have no cash value. Any existing balance of fundraising credits accrued in members accounts can be applied to fundraising levies for the following swimming season. Any balance of fundraising levy credits will not be refunded, as cash value, if members choose not to return to swim the following season.
ONGOING Fundraising Programs
Purdy’s Chocolate Bar Sales – Milk & Dark Chocolate 20 per case $2/bar. You buy the case, $40 and earn 50% credit towards your Fundraising Levy (FRL).
Take your refundable recycling to PG Recycling & Return-it Centre located at 2614 Petersen Road and have your refund put on account for the Prince George Barracuda Swim Club. Then simply turn in your receipts for FRL credits.
NOVEMBER/DECEMBER
In Partnership with the Spirit of the North, Barracuda families earn FRL credits by working the coat check booth at the Festival of the Trees held at the Civic Centre. Donations collected at the coat check are distributed proportionately amongst the families that participate in this event.
JANUARY
In partnership with Yalenka, Barracuda families earn FRL credits by working the coat check booth at their New Year’s celebration showcase, Malenka held annually at the Hart Community. If you like Ukrainian music, dancing, & food this is a great experience. Donations collected at the coat check will be split between those who participate. Details on how the donations will be split will be outlined at the beginning of the event.
MARCH
Purdy’s Easter program earn a fundraising credit of 25% while shopping for your Easter gifts and chocolates; or selling to friends, co-workers, & family.
DATES STILL TO BE DETERMINED BUT INTENTIONS ARE TO HAVE THIS TWICE PER YEAR
Centennial Foods will guarantee a 15%- 20% return depending on the mix of products sold. 100% of the return will go towards your FRL account.
