This page is dedicated to members who have received scholarships from our club to help them in their pursuit of academic and athletic success after high school.
Hannah Rodts
I have gained so much from swimming with the Barracuda Swim Club.
I have grown as a swimmer, teammate, friend and student. I have learned good sportsmanship from my coaches and teammates, good habits when it comes to my athletics, and how to become a successful student. Along the way I have made many lifelong friendships both within the club and other clubs. Meeting an Olympian, travelling throughout the province to compete and broadening my overall knowledge of swimming are just a few of the countless experiences I've enjoyed. I now have the opportunity to train and compete in the US; which has been a dream of mine since I started high school; attending Northern State University in South Dakota. I am a Biology major with a Chemistry minor and a certificate in Allied Health. My goal is to attend Medical School after completing my undergraduate degree. I belong to the Per-Health Club which organizes different fundraisers, blood drives, dog walking as well as volunteering and job shadowing opportunites. Our team defeated the University of Minnesota-Moorhead in a duel meet for the first time in the schools' history.
By awarding me this scholarship, i'm able to continue my love of swimming while receiving a great education. Your generosity provides me with new experiences and getting closer to my goal of attending Medical School.
I am so thankful for all that this club has done for me, and I will cherish it, always.
