Chris Bielby
Manager of Competitive Clubs, City of Pointe-Claire
Chris Bielby is the Manager of Competition Clubs for the City of Pointe-Claire and a long-time coach with the Pointe-Claire Swim Club (PCSC), where he plays a key role in both athlete development and the strategic management of the club’s competitive programs. With nearly 30 years of experience in the sport as an athlete, coach, and leader, Chris brings a deep passion for swimming and a lifelong connection to the Pointe-Claire community.
Chris began coaching at PCSC in 2013, initially working with 11- and 12-year-olds before progressing through the ranks to support junior and senior performance athletes. A former competitive swimmer himself, he grew up swimming at PCSC from the age of 8 to 17 and also worked as a lifeguard and instructor at Viking Pool in Pointe-Claire. He went on to swim at the varsity level for McGill University, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, followed by a graduate degree in Management with a specialization in Entrepreneurship.
As a NCCP Level 3 certified coach, Chris is committed to ongoing learning and professional growth. His current role balances long-term planning, administrative and leadership responsibilities, helping to ensure the smooth operation and continued development of one of Canada’s premier swim clubs. Dedicated to both high performance and long-term athlete development, Chris is proud to give back to the club and city that shaped his own journey in the sport.
Bradford Dingey
Head Coach Pointe-Claire Swim Club
Senior A Coach and Lead coach of the Senior Program
Brad Dingey brings over two decades of dedicated coaching expertise, known for his highly process-focused approach and his own unique, successful style that consistently produces results.
He first made his mark as head coach of Swimming Canada’s Victoria NextGen program in 2015, where he guided rising talents such as Hilary Caldwell—2016 Olympic bronze medallist—and open water star Richard Weinberger—2012 Olympic bronze medallist—through systematic athlete development pathways.
Following the closure of the Victoria High Performance Centre in 2020, Brad took the helm of Swimming Canada’s High Performance Centre in Vancouver, strengthening the national program’s western hub.
His leadership contributed to national and international podium performances, including World Championships and Pan Pacific Games medals. In 2022, he accepted an international role with the Singapore Swimming Association, leading their National Training Centre and preparing athletes for the 2024 Olympic Games.
In September 2024, Brad returned to Québec to become head coach of the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Club, where his proven track record, detail-oriented philosophy, and results-driven mindset are now focused on developing the next generation of swimmers and continuing the club’s tradition of excellence.

Philip Garverick
Junior A Coach and Lead Coach of the Junior Program
Philip Garverick is a highly accomplished and passionate swimming coach whose career spans nearly three decades. Known for his process-driven approach and commitment to developing both elite athletes and well-rounded individuals, Philip believes firmly that "hard work works." His coaching philosophy centers on building strong relationships with athletes, fostering a growth mindset, and promoting excellence both in and out of the pool.
Philip began his coaching journey in 1996 as an assistant at Columbia Swim Club, where he became Head Coach in 1999 and later General Manager in 2006. Over his tenure, he helped grow the club from 57 to over 220 athletes and transformed it into one of the top swim programs in the United States. From 2008 to 2014, Columbia Swim Club was ranked in the top 5% of all USA swim clubs and received the Silver Medal of Distinction from the USA Swimming Club Excellence Program each year.
During this period, Philip coached over 50 U.S. Junior National qualifiers and 12 U.S. Olympic Trials qualifiers, earning accolades including Missouri Valley Coach of the Year (2003, 2006, 2011, 2013) and the ASCA Award of Excellence (2006–2009). He is an ASCA Level 4 Certified Coach, a Swimming Canada level 3 coach, and actively contributed to the sport's governance as a USA Swimming House of Delegates member and Senior Vice Chair of Missouri Valley Swimming from 2007 to 2014.
In 2014, Philip brought his expertise to Pointe-Claire Swim Club (PCSC) in Québec as a Senior Coach. Since then, he has played a key role in leading the club to national prominence, including two National Team Championships and four Junior National Team Championships. He was also a member of the 2019 World Championship coaching staff in South Korea.
His impact continued in the 2023–2024 season, with a standout year that included:
- 3 nationally carded athletes
- 3 athletes achieving the Junior Pan Pacific qualification standard (with 1 selected to the team)
- A 2nd place overall team finish at the 2024 Canadian Swimming Championships, placing in the top 3 across all categories (Men, Women, Combined)
- 1 athlete representing Canada at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games

Natalia Kalbarczyk
Junior B coach and Lead coach of the Age Group Program
Coach Natalia Kalbarczyk—known to athletes and families as "Coach Nat"—brings over 15 years of experience and dedication to the Pointe-Claire Swim Club. As the coach of the Junior B group and the lead coach for the club’s Age Group program, she plays a vital role in shaping the technical and personal development of young swimmers.
Natalia grew up in Pointe-Claire, spending her early years at Viking Pool, and proudly draws from her local roots in her coaching. Of Polish heritage, she is fluent in English, French, and Polish, which allows her to connect with a wide range of athletes and families in the community.
She has been instrumental in the continued advancement of PCSC over the years, helping to build a strong foundation for athlete progression across all levels. Her commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and leadership have made her a key contributor to the club’s long-standing success.
Natalia deeply cares for every athlete she coaches, fostering a team environment built on trust, support, and mutual respect. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes creating positive challenges, building strong technique, and developing confidence both in and out of the water.
With her extensive experience, passion for the sport, and genuine investment in her swimmers’ growth, Coach Nat is a cornerstone of the PCSC coaching team and a true role model within the club community.
Paul Biloserskyj
Head Coach Masters and Lead Coach of the 10 and Under Program
Coach Paul Biloserskyj brings nearly two decades of coaching experience to his leadership roles with both the Masters Pointe-Claire program and the Pointe-Claire Swim Club’s 10 & Under group. Employed by the City of Pointe-Claire for the past 20 years, Paul has coached swimmers at every level—from first-time beginners to National Champions.
A standout moment in his coaching career was guiding two relay teams to Masters World Records, a testament to his technical expertise, motivational leadership, and commitment to excellence at every stage of athlete development.
Paul’s own swimming journey began at the Dorval Swim Club, continued through the Pointe-Claire Swim Club, and concluded at McGill University, where he competed as a varsity swimmer. He began his coaching career at the West Island Pool, Dixie in Lachine, before fully dedicating himself to developing young talent and lifelong swimmers within the Pointe-Claire community.
Paul graduated from McGill University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Education, majoring in Physical Education with a minor in Religious Studies. He is a Level 3 certified coach and holds a Level 1 officiating certification.
His coaching philosophy is rooted in hard work, technical development, and cultivating a genuine love for the sport. Whether working with young athletes just starting out or experienced Masters swimmers, Paul aims to foster strong values, discipline, and enjoyment that extend beyond the pool.
Outside of coaching, Paul enjoys movies, music, and cooking—interests that fuel his creativity and bring balance to his life.
Etienne Paquet
Sport-Etudes Coach
Coach Etienne Paquet brings over a decade of coaching experience and a deep passion for athlete development to the Sport-Études program at the Pointe-Claire Swim Club. Now entering his 11th season with PCSC, Etienne is proud to support swimmers and their families through the middle stages of their competitive journey—an important time for refining skills, building confidence, and preparing for higher levels of performance.
A former national-level swimmer, Etienne began his swimming career at age 9 and competed until age 19. He coached for five years with the Bluefins before taking on the exciting challenge of coaching at Pointe-Claire, where he continues to make a lasting impact on athletes and the program as a whole.
Etienne is especially passionate about helping swimmers develop the most effective technique possible. His coaching approach is rooted in technical precision and efficiency, with the goal of making every swimmer faster and more confident in the water through smart, purposeful training.
Beyond physical performance, Etienne emphasizes life skills such as self-confidence, resilience, respect, and teamwork—key values that extend well beyond the pool.
Friendly and approachable, Coach Etienne is always happy to connect with swimmers and parents alike. His commitment to each athlete’s growth, both in and out of the water, is a cornerstone of his coaching philosophy.
Stephanie Shewchuk
Head coach of the Sport-Etudes program and Dryland program Leader
Coach Stephanie Shewchuk leads the Sport-Études program at the Pointe-Claire Swim Club with a blend of technical expertise, athlete-centered coaching, and a strong commitment to both physical and mental development. Now in her 8th season coaching at PCSC, Stephanie brings a wealth of experience and a deep connection to the club she once proudly represented as an athlete.
A former competitive swimmer at Pointe-Claire during the 1980s and 90s, Stephanie trained under the renowned Clifford Barry—sharing the lane with none other than Olympic champion Victor Davis. Her return to the club as a coach reflects her passion for the sport and her dedication to nurturing the next generation of swimmers.
In addition to her coaching credentials, Stephanie is a certified yoga teacher and plays a key role in the development and leadership of the club’s dryland program, promoting athleticism, injury prevention, and mobility training. Beyond the pool, she is equally passionate about horses and horseback riding, and is currently in the process of establishing her own equine-therapy business to help others through the healing power of horses.
Her coaching philosophy emphasizes technical excellence, personal growth, and having fun along the way. Stephanie is deeply committed to helping her athletes improve in the water, build confidence, and achieve their goals in a supportive and positive environment.
Caleb McKay
Senior B Lead Coach and Age Group A Assistant Coach
Coach Caleb McKay brings passion, dedication, and a deep understanding of competitive swimming to his roles at Pointe-Claire Swim Club. Now in his second full year coaching at PCSC, Caleb serves as the lead coach for the Senior B groups and supports the Age Group A program, contributing to the development of swimmers across multiple levels.
Caleb is a former national-level swimmer, having spent over 15 years with the Pointe-Claire Swim Club. Early in his career, he found success in distance freestyle events before expanding his focus to breaststroke and the individual medley as he matured. His extensive experience as an athlete shapes his coaching approach, allowing him to connect with swimmers and guide them through technical and mental development.
Before returning to PCSC as a coach, Caleb gained valuable leadership experience at Viking Summer Pool, where he served as head of the swim team and pool manager for seven years.
Known for his fierce determination to improve his coaching skills, Caleb is committed to lifelong learning and growth as a coach. He has a keen ability to help athletes discover training and techniques that work best for them individually, tailoring guidance to maximize each swimmer’s strengths.
His goals for the season include educating swimmers on all facets of swimming, enhancing technical proficiency, and fostering an environment where athletes leave the pool smiling and with great memories.
Caleb’s combination of competitive experience, dedication, and positive energy make him an essential member of the PCSC coaching staff.
Mark McLellan
Junior C Lead Coach and Senior B Assistant Coach
Coach Mark McLellan brings enthusiasm, dedication, and a strong sense of community as he returns to the Pointe-Claire Swim Club for another exciting season. This year, Mark serves as the lead coach for the Junior C group and supports the Senior B group, contributing to athlete development across multiple stages.
Mark’s love for swimming began at local summer pools, where he spent his youth enjoying the sport in a fun and spirited environment. These experiences helped shape his coaching philosophy, which centers on creating an atmosphere where swimmers can improve, gain confidence, and genuinely enjoy their time in the sport. He went on to compete for three seasons at John Abbott College, continuing to grow as both an athlete and leader.
As a coach, Mark is passionate about building strong technique, fostering discipline, and developing a lifelong appreciation for swimming. He cares deeply for every athlete he works with—regardless of where they are in their development—and is committed to helping each swimmer grow at their own pace. His approachable, supportive style makes him a valued presence on deck and a positive force within the PCSC coaching team.
Erica Dobby
Lead Coach Age Group A
Coach Erica Dobby brings passion, dedication, and a deep commitment to athlete development in her role as Lead Coach of the Age Group A group. Now in her 7th season coaching at PCSC, and her 5th consecutive year with the 11 and 12 program, Erica plays a key role in guiding swimmers through one of the most important stages of their competitive journey.
A former national-level swimmer, Erica spent 10 years in the Pointe-Claire Swim Club program as an athlete, where she developed not only strong technical skills but also a deep love for the sport and its community. She uses her own experience to inspire the athletes she now coaches, always focusing on technical growth, confidence, and enjoyment.
Erica is known for being hard-working, eager to learn, and always looking for ways to grow. She takes every opportunity to improve her knowledge and skills as a coach, bringing fresh ideas and energy to the pool deck. Her drive for continuous improvement makes her a strong role model for the athletes she works with.
With her supportive approach, strong work ethic, and passion for helping others, Coach Erica continues to be a valued leader in the Age Group program and a positive force within the PCSC coaching team.
Danylo Sosnovik
Age Group B Lead Coach
With a strong commitment to supporting the development of young athletes, Danylo strives to share his knowledge and experience to help swimmers build their skills, confidence, and strength in the water.
Originally from Ukraine, Danylo began competitive swimming at age 10 and, by 15, earned the prestigious title of Мастер спорта (Master of Sport), one of the highest distinctions for swimmers in Europe. That same year, he joined the Pointe-Claire Swim Club, where he trained under Martin Gingras until age 22. His years as an elite competitive swimmer give him a unique perspective on what it takes to progress to higher levels, and he leverages this experience to help his athletes bridge the gap from developing swimmers to strong, confident competitors.
Danylo’s coaching philosophy goes beyond technique and performance. He emphasizes hard work, dedication, and teamwork while also focusing on teaching life skills, fostering personal growth, and helping swimmers develop as well-rounded individuals. His goal is to create a positive, supportive environment where athletes not only improve in the water but also grow into confident, resilient, and thoughtful young people.
Jordan McKay
Age Group B Coach
Jordan McKay is returning for her second year with Pointe-Claire Swim Club and will continue to dedicate her time and expertise to helping young swimmers develop both technically and personally. Last year, she led the Swim Squad program, fostering an environment where the majority of her athletes gained the skills and confidence to progress into the competitive program for the 2025–2026 season. Her thoughtful approach and focus on individual development ensured that each swimmer could maximize their potential in a supportive and encouraging setting.
Jordan is known for being organized, passionate, and highly attentive to her athletes’ needs. She believes in going above and beyond for her swimmers, embracing hard work, and constantly seeking opportunities to learn and refine her coaching techniques. Her thirst for knowledge and dedication to continuous improvement make her a dynamic and effective coach.
Beyond technical skill development, Jordan is committed to helping her athletes grow as individuals. She emphasizes the importance of teamwork, resilience, and a strong work ethic, creating a culture where swimmers not only improve in the pool but also develop confidence, discipline, and a love for the sport. With her supportive presence and unwavering commitment, Jordan provides a structured, motivating, and fun environment where young athletes can thrive and achieve their goals.
Gabrielle Pomerleau
Age Group C Coach
Gabrielle Pomerleau brings eight years of competitive swimming experience to the coaching staff, including six years as a member of PCSC. Her background as an athlete has shaped the values she carries into coaching: hard work, a growth mindset, enjoyment, and team spirit.
Gabrielle’s coaching philosophy centers on the belief that success in swimming comes from consistent effort, a positive attitude, and embracing the process. She emphasizes strong technique, goal-setting, and resilience, while celebrating the small steps of progress that lead to big achievements.
Her goals as a coach are to help swimmers build lifelong skills, foster a love for the sport, and find the right balance between challenge and fun. She also strives to model good sportsmanship and create an environment where athletes feel supported as they grow both in and out of the pool.
Jamie Rochon
Age Group B Helper and Junior C Helper
Jamie Rochon is a dedicated coach who brings both passion and experience to the Pointe-Claire Swim Club. A lifelong member of the aquatic community, Jamie swam with PCSC from ages 7 to 13, including two years in the Sport-Études program. Their time as an athlete helped build a deep appreciation for the values that now guide their coaching: trust, dedication, and communication.
Jamie’s goal as a coach is to help young swimmers grow their love for the sport while building strong technical foundations. They focus on developing well-rounded athletes by encouraging improvement across all strokes, not just an athlete’s favorite or fastest. Believing in a “work hard, play hard” philosophy, Jamie creates an environment that balances effort, fun, and personal growth—helping athletes thrive both in and out of the pool.
A true water enthusiast, Jamie shares: “I’ve been in the pool all my life, and even after I stopped swimming competitively, I stayed in aquatics because of how much I love the water.”
Nicole Waldie
Bout de Chou 1A and 1D Coach
Nicole Waldie is entering her ninth year as a coach with the Pointe-Claire Swim Club, where she will be working with the Bout de Chou 1A and 1D groups and the early/mid-morning Masters this season.
A proud PCSC alumna, Nicole swam with the club for nine years, from ages 7 to 16, gaining valuable experiences that shaped her love for the sport and taught her the importance of hard work, time management, and teamwork. Beyond the swim club, she worked for seven years at ALPS pools, including two years in a management role.
Outside the pool, Nicole is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes fostering a positive and supportive environment where athletes can develop, improve, and enjoy their swimming. With a strong focus on team spirit, Nicole is committed to helping her swimmers grow both in and out of the water.
Bianca Gaul
Bout de Chou 1B and 1C Coach
Bianca Gaul is entering her first season with PCSC, bringing with her a strong background in both swimming and coaching. She swam for five years with the Dorval Swim Club before transitioning to coaching, where she spent three seasons leading the 10-and-under program.
Bianca has also worked at Ecclestone Pool for five years, including two years in management and three years running the swim team program. These experiences have given her the opportunity to work with swimmers of all ages while developing her leadership and coaching skills.
Currently in her third year of a Bachelor’s degree in Kindergarten and Elementary Education at McGill University, Bianca is passionate about active learning and building well-rounded athletes. She believes in fostering confidence, a strong work ethic, and a love for the sport of swimming.
Bianca values the two-way nature of coaching and enjoys learning from her swimmers just as much as teaching them. Her goal is to continuously grow as a coach while helping her athletes reach their full potential.
Caitlin Miller
Bout de Chou 2A and 2D Coach
An empathetic and dedicated coach, Caitlin cares deeply for all her swimmers and has the skills to back it up, fostering a positive, supportive environment where young athletes can build confidence and develop their skills in the water.
Caitlin has been the backbone of the PCSC 10 and under program for the last 7 seasons and is entering her 8th year with PCSC. She brings an additional seven years of coaching experience at ALPS, including six years at Viking & Sunnyside and one year at Beacon Hill Pool. A former PCSC swimmer from ages 6 to 17, Caitlin draws on her own experiences in the sport to guide and inspire her athletes.
Caitlin is a board-certified Music Therapist and supervises the Adapted Swim & Gym Program, including the Aqua Percept program, after eight years as an instructor working with children with disabilities. She is constantly striving to expand her skill set to provide additional support to her athletes. Her coaching approach emphasizes developing technique, accommodating different learning styles, and building a strong foundation for young swimmers, while instilling values of teamwork, personal growth, and enjoyment of the sport.
Melissa Allan
Bout de Chou 2B and 2E Coach
Melissa is returning for her fourth year coaching at Pointe-Claire Swim Club and will be leading the Bout de Chou 2B and 2E groups for the 2025–2026 season. Currently studying Finance and Accounting at McGill University, she is a smart, driven coach passionate about teaching young swimmers not only the technical aspects of the sport but also positive life skills.
A former PCSC swimmer for nine years, Melissa gained invaluable experience and life lessons in swimming, which she now brings to her coaching. She has also spent several summers managing and coaching 10 & Under swimmers at Baie d'Urfé Pool, giving her additional experience in developing technique and nurturing young athletes. Melissa is committed to fostering a positive, supportive environment where swimmers can grow, develop confidence, and cultivate a lifelong passion for swimming, while learning teamwork, dedication, and resilience.
Zoë Jack
Bout de Chou 2C and 2F coach
Zoë Jack is returning for her fourth year coaching at Pointe-Claire Swim Club and will be leading the Bout de Chou 2C and 2F groups for the 2025–2026 season. With a great presence on deck honed from her days as an elite-level swimmer at Pointe-Claire, Zoë captivates the imagination of her athletes while maintaining a positive, structured environment that allows them to learn, grow, and develop a love for the sport.
Having swum competitively for nine years, many of Zoë’s favorite memories come from her time in winter swimming. As a coach, she aims to make her athletes’ first years in the sport just as memorable, enjoyable, and inspiring as her own experiences.
Zoë places a strong emphasis on instilling a good work ethic in her swimmers, helping them develop habits that will benefit them both in and out of the pool. Her extensive swimming experience allows her to find creative ways to teach proper stroke technique, ensuring long-term improvements and sustainable success for her athletes.
Alyssa Ross
Bout de Chou 3A and 3D Coach
Alyssa is returning to coach the Bout de Chou 3A and 3D groups for the 2025–2026 season. While this is her seond season coaching with PCSC, Alyssa has already proven herself as a top coach, demonstrating exceptional skill, dedication, and enthusiasm for helping young swimmers thrive.
Alyssa swam competitively at PCSC for eight years and has gained valuable coaching and lifeguarding experience at Viking during the summers. She is passionate about creating a positive sports environment where her athletes can develop skills, confidence, and a love for swimming while making lasting memories. Her energy, dedication, and supportive approach make her a trusted and inspiring presence on deck.
Justine Gonzalez
Bout de Chou 3B and 3E coach
Justine is returning for her second year coaching at Pointe-Claire Swim Club and will be leading the Bout de Chou 3B and 3E groups for the 2025–2026 season. With a lifelong love for the water, she is passionate about sharing her enthusiasm for swimming with young athletes and helping them develop both skills and a love for the sport.
Justine began swimming lessons at Pointe-Claire at a young age and later competed for five years with the Dorval Swim Club. She has also gained coaching experience over the past two summers with the swim team at Lakeshore Pool, which inspired her to pursue coaching more seriously.
Constantly improving as a coach, Justine is motivated to learn and expand her coaching skills, building a bright future in the sport. Her athletes benefit from her positive personality, dedication, and genuine love for swimming, creating a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment where they can grow, gain confidence, and develop a lasting passion for the sport.
Julia Randolph
Bout de Chou 3C and 3F Coach
Julia Randolph is entering her first season with our coaching staff. She grew up as a competitive swimmer with breaststroke as her strongest event and has carried her love for the sport into coaching. For the past three summers, Julia has worked as both a lifeguard and swim coach at Ecclestone Pool, where she gained experience with swimmers of all ages and spent two years focusing on 8-and-under athletes.
Julia is passionate about helping young swimmers grow in confidence while developing strong technical skills. She believes that swimming offers much more than physical fitness, it instills valuable life lessons such as perseverance, time management, and self-discipline. Her favorite part of coaching is watching athletes achieve their goals and sharing in the excitement of their progress.
Julia’s goal as a coach is to help every swimmer reach their full potential while also fostering a lifelong love for the sport. Outside of the pool, she is a student at John Abbott College and enjoys baking in her free time.
