Volunteer Policy

How to earn volunteer credits
  • Activate your Swim Canada official's account
    • credits will accumulate after the account is active
  •  
  • Volunteer at a home swim meet/session = 1 credit 
  • Volunteer at an intra-club meet/session = 1/2 credit
    • if you worked at the Oct.28th intra-club you will receive 1/2 credit for your time
  •  
  • Become an active level 1 = 1/2 credit
  • Advance to official level 2 = 1 credit 
  • Advance to official level 3 = 2 credits
  • Advance to official level 4 = 3 credits
  • Advance to official level 5 = 4 credits
  •  
  • Join a Committee = 100% credits*
  • Join the Board of Directors = 100% credits*
    • *Active participation throughout the season and available to work two at-home sessions
 
Who can earn volunteer credits
  • Swim meet officials – (age 18+)
    • levels 1 to 5 are required at every event (training clinics will be provided at no cost)
  •  
  • Hospitality volunteers & other - open to all (age 18+)
  •  
  • Young volunteers aged 13 to 17 
    • Space permitting & upon request, certain conditions may apply
      • High school volunteer hours
      • runners / announcers / awards ceremonies / Special events

  • PCSC events require approx 80 volunteers/session (all positions are volunteers)
