Starter

Description: L’objectif du Starter est de s’assurer que tous les nageurs ont droit à un départ équitable. Le Starter donne le commandement qui débute chaque course. Le Starter doit travailler en collaboration avec le juge-arbitre pour s’assurer que tous les nageurs ont un départ équitable. Le Starter doit être consistant et exercer un bon jugement, il doit maintenir la confiance des juges-arbitres et des nageurs. Le Starter doit avoir un contrôle total des nageurs à partir du moment où le juge-arbitre les placent sous son contrôle jusqu’au début de la course. 

Description: The role of the Starter is to ensure a fair start for all swimmers. The Starter shall give the command that begins each race. The Starter shall work collaboratively with the Referee to ensure that all swimmers have a fair start. The Starter should be consistent and exercise good judgment, maintaining the confidence of the Referee and the swimmers. The Starter shall have full control of the swimmers from the time the Referee turns the swimmers over to them until the race has commenced.

Prérequis | Prerequisites: 

• Les participants doivent avoir suivi le cours « Introduction au rôle de l’officiel » au cours des dernières années.
• Participants must have taken the "Intro to Officiating Course" at some point in the past years.
