Senior A
This group is for high performance swimmers who are in pursuit of excellence at national and international levels. Athletes must be independent and dedicated to being recognized as the swimmers of the highest caliber. They must have a positive and exemplary attitude while keeping a good sports ethic. Swimmers in this Senior A group are an example for the rest of the team.
Attendance Criteria: Attendance is mandatory at all trainings, training camps, and competitions.
Hours of pool training per week: 18
Hours of dryland training per week: 6

Coach: Brad Dingey

Brad Dingey brings over two decades of dedicated coaching expertise, known for his highly process-focused approach and his own unique, successful style that consistently produces results.
He first made his mark as head coach of Swimming Canada’s Victoria NextGen program in 2015, where he guided rising talents such as Hilary Caldwell—2016 Olympic bronze medallist—and open water star Richard Weinberger—2012 Olympic bronze medallist—through systematic athlete development pathways.
Following the closure of the Victoria High Performance Centre in 2020, Brad took the helm of Swimming Canada’s High Performance Centre in Vancouver, strengthening the national program’s western hub and working closely with Olympic medallists Brent Hayden and Emily Overholt, as well as Markus Thormeyer.
His leadership contributed to national and international podium performances, including World Championships and Pan Pacific Games medals. In 2022, he accepted an international role with the Singapore Swimming Association, leading their National Training Centre and preparing athletes for the 2024 Olympic Games.
In September 2024, Brad returned to Québec to become head coach of the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Club, where his proven track record, detail-oriented philosophy, and results-driven mindset are now focused on developing the next generation of swimmers and continuing the club’s tradition of excellence.

Senior A is part of the PCSC Senior Program
The Senior Program at Pointe-Claire Swim Club is for athletes aged 16 and older. Groups in the Senior program are Senior A and Senior B.
- Placement is based on the athlete’s progression in the PCSC development model.
- This program focuses on performance and developing the skills and training background needed to perform at high level competitions at the national and international level.
- Athletes are expected to attend all practices at this level.
- The senior program is an optimized program aimed towards peak performance at specific moments.
- Athletes in our senior program train between 8 to 9 times weekly for a total of 18 to 24 hours of pool and dryland training per week.
This program is important for:

- Advanced physical, technical, and tactical performance skills.
