Caleb McKay

Coach Caleb McKay brings passion, dedication, and a deep understanding of competitive swimming to his roles at Pointe-Claire Swim Club. Now in his second full year coaching at PCSC, Caleb serves as the lead coach for the Senior B groups and supports the Age Group A program, contributing to the development of swimmers across multiple levels.
Caleb is a former national-level swimmer, having spent over 15 years with the Pointe-Claire Swim Club. Early in his career, he found success in distance freestyle events before expanding his focus to breaststroke and the individual medley as he matured. His extensive experience as an athlete shapes his coaching approach, allowing him to connect with swimmers and guide them through technical and mental development.
Before returning to PCSC as a coach, Caleb gained valuable leadership experience at Viking Summer Pool, where he served as head of the swim team and pool manager for seven years.
Known for his fierce determination to improve his coaching skills, Caleb is committed to lifelong learning and growth as a coach. He has a keen ability to help athletes discover training and techniques that work best for them individually, tailoring guidance to maximize each swimmer’s strengths.
His goals for the season include educating swimmers on all facets of swimming, enhancing technical proficiency, and fostering an environment where athletes leave the pool smiling and with great memories.
Caleb’s combination of competitive experience, dedication, and positive energy make him an essential member of the PCSC coaching staff.
Mark McLellan

Coach Mark McLellan brings enthusiasm, dedication, and a strong sense of community as he returns to the Pointe-Claire Swim Club for another exciting season. This year, Mark serves as the lead coach for the Junior C group and supports the Senior B group, contributing to athlete development across multiple stages.
Mark’s love for swimming began at local summer pools, where he spent his youth enjoying the sport in a fun and spirited environment. These experiences helped shape his coaching philosophy, which centers on creating an atmosphere where swimmers can improve, gain confidence, and genuinely enjoy their time in the sport. He went on to compete for three seasons at John Abbott College, continuing to grow as both an athlete and leader.
As a coach, Mark is passionate about building strong technique, fostering discipline, and developing a lifelong appreciation for swimming. He cares deeply for every athlete he works with—regardless of where they are in their development—and is committed to helping each swimmer grow at their own pace. His approachable, supportive style makes him a valued presence on deck and a positive force within the PCSC coaching team.
Senior B is part of the PCSC Senior Program
The Senior Program at Pointe-Claire Swim Club is for athletes aged 16 and older. Groups in the Senior program are Senior A and Senior B.
- Placement is based on the athlete’s progression in the PCSC development model.
- This program focuses on performance and developing the skills and training background needed to perform at high level competitions at the national and international level.
- Athletes are expected to attend all practices at this level.
- The senior program is an optimized program aimed towards peak performance at specific moments.
- Athletes in our senior program train between 8 to 9 times weekly for a total of 18 to 24 hours of pool and dryland training per week.
