2025/2026 Swim Season - The season will begin at Fairview Pool
There will be a Mandatory AGM held on September 17th, 2025 at 6:30pm at the SCCHS Lecture Hall. Every family has to have a representative present or there will be $150.00 charged to their account.
We will be having our "Trip Of The Month Fundraiser" which is a fundraiser for every swimmer registered with the Swift Current Barracudas. There will be more information regarding this fundraiser at our AGM.
Withdraw/Cancellation Policy
We will not accept withdraws or cancellations after the 18th of September, 2025 (payment full at registration in Sep.) If a withdraw or cancellation occurs before the 18th of September a $100 admin fee as well as the swim SK registration fee (which is different for each group) will not be refunded.
If you would like to withdraw after this date please contact Coach Cassandra.
Swimming for all groups begins on Monday, September 8th or Tuesday September 9th.

Minnows – Learn to Swim (Ages 4+)
This is an entry level for children who are new to the water and have never received water instruction. Skills will be comfort based, with focus on water safety learning the basics.

Pre-Competitive
This program focuses on learning the skills needed to compete in the future. Focus will be placed on learning the basics of all four strokes, starts and turns, as well as sprints and endurance. Swimmers may attend one swim meet a year (must be 7 years old) before upgrading to competitive.

This group focuses on stroke basics, endurance and overall health benefits. This group will touch on skills needed to compete but main focus will be cardiovascular training. This group is open to anyone who is looking for a challenging workout but is not looking to compete at this time.

Breaststroke, Backcrawl, Front Crawl and Intro to Butterfly. Education around heart rate, rate of preceived exheration and breath work.
Conditioning (Age 7+)
This group focuses on cardiovascular and strength training and is the perfect off season activity for athletes committed to other sports. Swimmers may begin a four week session at anytime and will be billed every four week session they wish to commit to.

Skills Include:
Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Breastroke, must have the ability to swim 50m unassisted.
*This program will not be eligible to compete
Competitive (Age 7+)
This program will focus on speed, stamina and strength needed to compete. Swimmers will work on all four strokes, starts, turns and endurance and sprint concepts. Swimmers will be eligible to compete in meets across the province and will be able to participate in dryland training, and access nutrition information for athletes. Entry to this group must be approved by the head coach.

Fees for this group will include one meet in The Racing Series - A representative for each swimmer MUST volunteer for one meet in the season.
Swimmers will not be required to compete in any other meets, but will have the option to add selected meets at additional cost
Masters (Age 18+) - $119.00 / 10 Punch Pass or Monthly Membership $92.00

This program focuses on adult learning, and active aging. Masters is open is open to all swimming abilities from learn to swim to those wishing to compete. Athletes will purchase a punch pass and willl be able to access classes at their convience. Workouts will focus on cardiovascular health, muscle maintenance and staying functionally fit.
A one time Swim Sask Fee of $35.00 will be charged at time of purchase.
Mandatory Swim Meets - Gold Group Only
Rules and Regulations
- All swimmers will be required to wear a onepiece swimsuit to practices and competitions.
- Swim caps are mandatory for competitive swimmers only, but caps and goggles are recommended for all swimmers.
- In order to advance to the next program (Minnows – Pre Comp) an evaluation must be completed by the coach and approved by the head coach.
- AGM, Volunteering and Fundraising are mandatory.
- Only swimmers age 7 and up, and registered in the competitive program are eligible to compete.
- Bullying or harassment of swimmers, coaches, or board members will not be tolerated.
Fundraising ,Volunteering, and Commitments
There will be one mandatory fundraiser this year,
- Trip of the Month – Each swimmer will be required to sell four tickets for this fundraiser (maximum five per family if more than one child)
- A second optional fundraiser may be held in the spring.
Annual General Meeting – The AGM will be held at the beginning of the season (Wednesday, September 17th at 6:30pm at the SCCHS Lecture Hall) and each family will be required to have one representative present for the meeting. If a representative is not present there will be a $150.00 charge issued to the card on file.
