Wilmot Aces Swim Club Programs

FUNdamentals (Ages 4–12)
FUNdamentals is ideal for swimmers who are comfortable in the water and ready to learn. This program builds stroke technique and water confidence in a fun, skill-based environment.

  • FUN1 (Ages 4–8): 30-minute practices, 2x per week
  • FUN2 (Ages 9–12): 45-minute practices, 2x per week
Programs are offered in 10-week sessions, with three sessions per season. FUNdamentals is the perfect entry point for young swimmers beginning their Aces journey.

Pre-Competitive Program (Ages 7–12, 13+)
Formerly known as Novice 3 and 4, the Pre-Competitive Program bridges the gap between swim lessons and competitive swimming. Swimmers build endurance, refine technique, and are introduced to racing in a fun, inclusive environment.
  • Mini Pre-Competitive (Ages 7–9): 2x per week, 1-hour practices
  • Junior Pre-Competitive (Ages 10–12): 2x per week, 1-hour practices
  • Senior Pre-Competitive (Ages 13+): 2x per week, 1-hour practices
Sessions run for 15 weeks and are offered twice per season. Swimmers have the option to participate in one swim meet per season—the May Day Invitational.

Junior Competitive Program (Ages 7–12)
Designed for younger swimmers ready to commit to more training and competition, the Junior Competitive Program offers progressive levels based on age and performance goals.
  • Junior 1: 3 practices per week, 3 hours total
  • Junior 2: 3 practices per week, 4.25 hours total
  • Junior HP: 4 practices per week, 7.5 hours total
Junior groups focus on developing racing skills, achieving personal bests, and targeting Western Regional and Provincial time standards.

Senior Competitive Program (Ages 13+)
For older swimmers aiming for long-term improvement and competitive excellence, the Senior Competitive Program supports athletes at all stages of their journey.
  • Senior 1: 3 practices per week, 4.25 hours total
  • Senior 2: 4 practices per week, 7.5 hours total
  • Senior HP: 6 practices per week, 10.5 hours total

Senior swimmers work toward racing goals, Western Regional standards, and provincial-level qualifications. The competitive season runs from early September to the end of June, with some groups continuing through July.
