This Week in Congo Swim and Dive 6/27-7/2
Dear Congressional Parents:
The Congressional Country Club Swim and Dive program has had tremendous success over the years, in large part due to the willingness of each & every family to volunteer their time & to get involved. We ask that every family commit to work at least 3 volunteer jobs per 1st child with 2 additional volunteer jobs for the 2nd child and 1 additional volunteer job for the 3rd child. Parents of graduating Seal Pups in their 1st year on Swim Team are required to volunteer for 2 meets in their 1stSeason. Failure to meet your volunteer requirement will result in your athlete not being able to compete in Divisional and Championship Meets.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
We will return to normal practice at Congressional on Tuesday, June 28th! While we offer both morning and afternoon practices, our morning practice will be a more robust practice and is the one we recommend if you can attend either.
Regular Schedule:
M/T/W/TH/F: 9-10:30 swim, 10-11am dive
M/T/W/TH/F - 4-5pm swim, 5-6pm dive.
Saturday - 9-10:30 swim, 10:30-11:30 dive
There will be no swim or dive practice on Monday this week.
There will be no swim practice on Tuesday afternoon due to our away swim meet. Dive practice is normal 5pm-6pm.
There will be no swim or dive practice on Wednesday or Thursday afternoons due to our home dive and swim meets.
Seal pups also resume this week following our normal schedule!
M/W/F 10:45-11:15 or 11:15-11:45 (come to either class)
T/TH 3:30-4pm
Sat 11-11:30am

Monday June 27: Dive Meet
Congressional at Chevy Chase Club
Address: 6100 Connecticut Avenue, Chevy Chase
Warmup time: 5:30pm
Start time: 6:00pm
Please bring your towel to the meet and a cover-up in the event we must use the clubhouse in bad weather.
Tuesday June 28: Swim Meet
Congressional at Norbeck
Address: 17200 Cashell Road, Rockville
Congressional Swimmers must be on deck by 5:15
Warmup time: 5:30 pm
Start time: 6:30pm
Member sign food and drink will be available.
Please bring your towel to the meet and a cover-up in the event we must use the clubhouse in bad weather.
Wednesday June 29: Pancake Breakfast and Tie Dye!
You provide the white t-shirt, we provide the rest! We will wear our shirts at a future swim or dive meet to show our team spirit. Keep in mind, tie dye stains to please have your swimmers and divers wear appropriate clothing. Tie Dye will occur in the parking lot near the pool, and member-sign pancakes will be set up by the Pavilion.
Wednesday June 29: Dive Meet
Army Navy at Congressional
Warmup time: 5:30pm
Start time: 6:00pm
Please bring your towel to the meet and a coverup in the event we must use the clubhouse in bad weather
The Pavilion will be open until 8pm
Family and Baby Pool will close at 4:30
Thursday June 30: Swim Meet/Team Pictures
Army Navy at Congressional
We will be taking our annual team pictures on the pool deck. Please arrive at Congressional by 4pm with your team suit.
Warmups begin at 5:30 pm
Start time: 6:30pm
Please bring your towel to the meet and a coverup in the event we must use the clubhouse in bad weather.
Food: We will host a buffet on the Great Lawn at 8! Member Charge: $20 Adults and $12 Children.
Family and Baby Pool will close at 4:30
Friday July 1: Pool Volleyball and Family Bingo Night!
Join us from 6-8pm for a fun family evening at the pool! No sign up necessary.

All merchandise ordered from icebreakers and our online store is in! Please see Coach Danny to pick up your gear. This includes personalized caps.
Team shirts (included in your registration) are also available for pickup at the family pool check-in desk. Each swimmer and diver receive one shirt for participating on the team.
TEAM PHOTOS THIS THURSDAY, JUNE 30TH
Please arrive at Congressional by 4pm for our annual team photos. This is for all swimmers, divers, and coaches.
SEAL PUPS
Group lesson program, focusing on basic stroke technique for ages 4-7
Seal Pups Season Ends with The Lollipop Meet on Saturday July 16 at 10:00 am!
COED WATER POLO for ages 10 and up: Sunday Mornings 9 am to 10:15 am July 10 @ CCC and July 17 at KCC (Congressional Country Club and Kenwood Country Club).
