Kimberly Sharpe-Sparks, a Bentonville, AR native, began swimming at the age of seven with the Wal-Mart Swim Club, which later evolved into the NWAA Sharks. As an age group swimmer, at age 10, Kimberly held numerous team and state records. To date, she still maintains many of those team records. From 2000-2003, Kimberly was the captain of the Bentonville High School (BHS) swim team and was named All-American. She was named Arkansas Senior High School swimmer of the year. After high school, she continued her swimming career at the University of Alabama.

After college, in 2007, she returned to Bentonville, where she was an Assistant Swim coach for the NWAA Sharks. As her family expanded she was able to continue her employment with the Sharks, as the Administrative Assistant through 2016.

Since then, she has continued to be involved as much as possible in the swimming world, and has recently jumped into the “triathlon world.”

Kimberly was inducted into the Bentonville High School Hall of Honor for swimming in 2021.

Kimberly is married to Chris Sparks of Bentonville.  They have three boys, Christopher Sparks Jr., 22, Parker Sparks, 11 and Shepard Sparks, 6. Her full time job is being a mom and managing a house of boys, but recently started substitute teaching for Bentonville Schools, when the time allows her.
