WHITE PRACTICE GROUPS 

 

The White practice groups are designed to give 10-14 year old swimmers a positive and technically sound swimming experience. These levels are designed to appropriately challenge your child depending on his or her experience in the sport of swimming. 

 

WHITE 1 ($85 per month)

White 1 is meant for the newer swimmers ages 10-14. Swimmers at this level may be new to competitive swimming or have had some swim team experience. Swimmers in White 1 will refine the basics of the four competitive strokes while focusing on technique through stroke-specific drills and kicking sets. An emphasis will also be placed on aerobic development. Racing strategies and techniques will be introduced.

4 60 minute workouts offered each week; recommend a minimum of 2-3 times a week.

Meet expectations: Intrasquad meets, home meets as coaches determine readiness 

WHITE 2 ($105 per month)

The White 2 practice group is made up of swimmers ages 10-14 years-old. Swimmers at this level have experience training and competing in all four competitive swim strokes. They will refine stroke and kick technique, increase aerobic development, and sharpen practice skills necessary to compete in the sport of swimming. In addition, racing strategies and techniques will be introduced in preparation for the next level swim experience.

5 60-75 minute workouts are offered each week; recommend 3-4 times a week. 

Meet expectations: home meets, close away meets (Mitchell, Brookings type distance), and championship meets if qualified.

WHITE 3 ($105 per month)

The White 3 practice group is made up of experienced swimmers ages 11-to-14-years-old. Swimmers at this level have experience training and competing in all four competitive swim strokes. Swimmers in White 3 will focus on refining their strokes through stroke-specific technique drills while increasing their aerobic endurance through more challenging swim and kick sets. More advanced training and racing techniques and strategies will be introduced with the goal of preparing swimmers for the Blue practice groups. White 3 swimmers will be expected to add distances of 200 yards/meters and higher in multiple strokes (or IM) to their swim meet event lists.

 

6 60-90 minute workouts are offered each week; recommend 4-6 times a week. 

Meet expectations: home meets, close away meets, out of state meets as offered, and highest championship meet qualified for. Typically meets are offered once every 3-4 weeks
