We offer private lessons for ages 18months to adults, children's group classes, parent-tot group classes, and adult group classes. ALL lessons are available to both Sunrise-residents and non-residents. For the parent-tot and childrens' group lessons, we do accept the watersmartbroward.org coupon/voucher.
For the group lessons, we use the app, REMIND, to update you about changes to the schedule such as cancellations due to weather and the make-up schedule; please join the class so you can receive notifications: School = Sunrise Swimming; Class = 2024 group lessons; Class Code = @24sungroup

Our lesson program operates at the at the Sunrise Civic Center Family Pool and competition lap pool located at 10610 West Oakland Park Blvd. We offer lessons year-round in the city’s heated outdoor pools.
Registration and payment is required in person to reserve a spot in ALL group classes. You can pay for lessons at the Sunrise Civic Center Pool - at the Concession window. Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate when registering.
The Civic Center is open from 10am to 7pm, 7 days a week.

Private Lessons
One-on-one instruction for children and adults; ages 18 months to adults.
Classes are typically 25-30 minutes and are arranged at the convenience of you and the instructor.
Cost = $35 / 25 min for the first participant. There will be a $15 charge for the second participant, and a $10 charge for the third participant, if they share the 25 minutes.

Children's Group Lessons (ages 3-12)
Our group lessons are for children ages 3 to 12. We offer weekday afternoon and evening classes and weekend classes.
Lesson program consists of 2 hours of instruction (4x30min classes). Class size is limited to the first 5-6 paid students per instructor. Minimum of 3 paid students to schedule a class.
Make-ups will be given when a class is cancelled due to weather ONLY. If your child is sick, you must call ASAP. We do require a doctor's note. We will be offering makeups for children who have missed classes for illnesses sporadically.
We teach children who are learning to swim, as well as those who already know how to swim, but are interested in learning the 4 competitive strokes.
Classes will be cancelled when the pool closes for thunder, lightning, or if it is raining so hard, the lifeguards can't see the bottom. If it is only raining, we will still have the group class. It is recommended that you come to the pool every day your class is scheduled, rain or shine!
We are no longer able to accommodate children with ASD or special needs in group lessons; please call the office at 954-747-4635 to inquire about private lessons.

Our Parent-Tot group class is for children 12 months to 3 years of age. Parents are in the water with their child. Class size is limited to 8 parents/children. Must have 3 parents/children to run the class.

Adult Group Lessons (ages 15-adult)
Our Adult Group class is adults ages 15 and older. These classes are for BEGINNERS - LOW Beginners do NOT know how to swim; learning to blow bubbles, float. HIGH Beginners can blow bubbles, float on stomach and back. Class size limited to 6 students. Must have 3 adults to schedule a class.
Cost = $55 for 4x30 min classes
