Coaching Staff
Andrew Pittman is from Plano,
TX. He began his
swimming career at the City of Plano Swimmers, when he was 7 years
old. He found his passion for swimming and grew into a
distance swimmer. At the age of 14 years old Andrew was
rannked 9th in the 1000 yard free and 10th in the 1650 yard
free. From there he expanded his competitive races to
include the 400IM and 500fr. While he was a junior in high school
he earned the All-American status.
Andrew earned himself a scholarship to
study and swim at Nova Southeastern University where he was a
scholarship athlete all four years and achieved All-American his
senior year. Andrew graduated with a bachelor’s degree in
Legal Assistance and
Philosophy.
After he finished college he transferred
his passion for swimming from the water to the pool deck, he
started working for Hurricane Aquatics in May 2017. He is now the
coach for both the Orange and White groups, which are both
thriving. During 2018 he had 4 athletes qualify for the
Florida Gold Coast Junior Olympics and three participate.
Andrew has a goal of getting relays to that
meet.
