The SRQ TSUNAMI swim team is under the leadership of veteran Coach Ira Klein as the Head Coach and program director.  He brings four decades of knowledge and success to this program.  Previously, he had been recruited by USA Swimming to design the department to enhance club swimming around the country and since has been recruited by the very top USA clubs, colleges and International organizations to run the same program we will be offering right here in Sarasota

.

With almost seven years of successfully running the local YMCA program, Coach Ira brings a level of experience and knowledge never seen before in our community.  This team will be focused on the individual, their ability and potential.  The team will be limited in size to maintain a close family feeling within the program.

The TSUNAMI is programming at the Arlington Park Aquatic Center

and  GT Bray Aquatic center in Bradenton. 

Although the program is not directly being run by either the County or the City of Sarasota, Klein Swim Academy is offering financial assistance when needed.  No young athlete will be turned away, one of our goals is to make certain that every child in Sarasota learns how to swim properly.

The SRQ TSUNAMI, is a proud member of USASWIMMING's AMERICA'S SWIM TEAM, running  groups divided by both age and ability.  Competition is done at the appropriate level for each young athlete, competitive swimming is a learning process over time.
