The 2014 GCST Winter Invite has been CANCELED due to liner repair problems at FGCU.   We considered running a smaller version of the meet in the 25 yard diving well pool, but that pool now has a torn liner needing repair, setting the entire project back on both pools.   The facility could potentially be closed for up to 2 months. We are looking at some other meets to attend in January.  

10 year old Kelsey Swartout made her 1st FLAGS qualifiying time as swam under the standard in the 10 & Under Girls 200 Free at the Gator Swim Club, Holiday Classic Swim Meet.at Gainesville, FL on Dec. 6th, 2013. Congrats to Kelsy on her new championship meet cut!

In swimming, a novel activity can be as simple as a stroke correction and the training volume can differ from longer sets to faster speeds. Practice attendance lists are now posted for all swimmers and locations.   The list can be found under the "Swimmers" link on the GCST front page after login.

The list of athletes registered for 2014 can be found under the " Swimmers" link after login. Please check this list to make sure your swimmer is registered.   Unregistered swimmers will not be able to attend practice or compete in meets after Dec. 31, 2013.   All current members must register online to continue team membership. The registration system will be closed after midnight on Dec. 31st, and reopen on January 2nd. Registration Fees will increase at that time. Start Registration

The GCST Holiday Training Schedules  for Thanksgiving, and Christmas / New Years have been posted.   We also have printable versions available online.  

The Junior High Performance Team will move from FGCU to San Carlos Park Pool starting Tuesday 11/25.   Practice times will be 5 to 7:30 PM Monday through Friday. The Silver Team will change to 4:30 to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday. All Other groups will continue with the same workout schedules. Practice Schedules
