 GCST swimmers had 95 of 139 swims that were personal best times showing improvement at the Spring Developmental Swim Meet at the Ft. Myers Aquatic Center on March 5, 2011.  Event Winners: Alexus Lawler 10 & Under Girls 50 Breast, Jack Moreland 8 & Under Boys 25 Fly, Mikayla Puckett 8 & Under Girls 25 Free, 25 Fly, and 25 Breast. GCST Senior swimer, Kyle Marshall has comitted to the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Odessa, TX.  Kyle will be competing in NCAA Division II for the Falcons in the Fall of 2011.   GCST wishes Kyle the best of luck and success on the next phase of his swimming career. 6 GCST swimmers have been selected to the Florida Swimming All-Star Team.  The team will compete against the Florida Gold Coast All-Stars in a duel meet on March 26-27 at Indian River State College in ft. Pierce, FL  GCST swimmers on the list are Savannah Bowser, Kaitlyn Hauser, Jessie Walsh, Darrien Heil, Eric Ordaz Jr, and  Bean Faunce. Roster Hotel information is posted on the Event Page here.

4 Team Records Broken...Molly DuBrasky broke the GCST Senior, and 17-18 Girls record in the 100 Fly with a 56.43 and a made a Short Course National Championship qualifying time.  The GCST Senior Mens 800 Free Relay broke the team record by almost 8 seconds with Tayler DuBrasky, Kyle Snew, Kyle Marshall, and Michael Pineda, and they broke the GCST Senior Mens 400 Free Relay. 40 of 70 swims are best times...GCST Results 16 New Championship Qualifying Times Made GCST finished the meet in 22nd place. Maddy Crippen will be visiting Gulf Coast Swim Team to talk about Open Water, what it meant to her brother Fran, and his new foundation. This event is for ALL GCST swimmer from all pools and parents. This will be at FGCU at 6 pm. More details soon.

The Gold Group had a great time chasing a watermelon around the pool at San Carlos tonight as a reward for a great FLAGs meet.

  GCST swimmers had a great weekend at the Florida Age Group Championships. We had 6 new team records. We had 3 new relay records. We had 15 new championship quailfying times. We had 79 of 105 swims were best times. GCST Results. 11-12 girls finish 2nd place team standings. 10 & Under girls finish 4th place in team standings GCST girls finish 4th in team standings. GCST 7th in overall team standings. GCST boys finish 13th in team standings. 8 GCST swimmers qualified for the Florida All-Star Team. Awesome...

GCST swimmers had an outstanding day on the last day of the Florida Swimming Age Group Champs in Clearwater.
