Practice Schedule Update
DPS is beginning to drain the pool to install the new filtration system. They tell us to expect the pool to open by June 1st. Highland Forest is generously allowing us to use their pool until May 24th. We are working on options to swim from May 24th to June 1st. The Highland Forest pool is not set up for competitive swimming, but it is big enough that we can run practice with some modifications. We must split up our groups to ensure we can run effective practices. We may adjust practices once we see how they are working. Directions to the Highland Forest Pool can be found HERE. Dalton Dolphin Team Suit Fitting
Swim and Tri will be at DHS on Thursday, May 9th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM for a team suit fitting. They will set up next to the outdoor bathrooms of the building next to the pool. Team suits are not a required purchase. CASL and GRPA have a couple of rules regarding swimsuits.
- Swimsuits may not have logos of a club team or high school team.
- Female swimsuits must be one-piece, and they must not be tie-back suits.
One Other Thing
We had an incident in the boys' bathroom Friday evening. Boys from the Bronze and Silver groups made a big mess in the bathroom. It was obviously intentional. They wet paper towels and toilet paper and covered the ceiling with them. Please talk to your children about taking care of any facility we use. Swimming with our program is a privilege, not a right. Swimmers are expected to take care of any facility we use. The coaches will address this with all swimmers this week.
