CCAC/Dalton Dolphins Update 7/15/25
Fantastic City Meet!
We are so proud of our Dalton Dolphins! In 2024, we scored 879 points and finished in seventh place. It was our lowest place finish in over a decade. In 2025, we scored 1287.5 points and finished in third place! We won the Red Division at City Meet and in dual meet competition this year. Our swimmers improved dramatically over the year and this summer. We couldn't be prouder of them!
We have agreed to host City Meet 2026, so get ready! July 10th and 11th at the Fort Oglethorpe Pool. We have already started planning to run the best City Meet ever!
Holden Horn's College Signing
Please join us in the DHS mini-commons at 6:30 PM this Thursday to celebrate Holden Horn's commitment to swim at Piedmont College! Bronze, Silver, and Gold Groups will finish at 6:15 PM that evening, so all of our coaches and swimmers can attend.
CCAC/Dalton Dolphins Banquet
Our banquet will be in the DHS Commons next Monday at 6:00 PM. More information about the banquet will be coming soon!

We are still waiting on the warm-up schedule from the meet host... We anticipate warm-ups at 7:00 AM and competition at 9:00 AM. We will send the final schedule as soon as it is available.

Swim with Carpet Capital Aquatics Club!
CCAC fires back up in August! Registration will open at www.ccacswim.com on Friday, August 1st. We will have a parent meeting on Monday, August 11th. Swimmers begin practices on Tuesday, August 12th. CCAC operates year-round. Coach Jason hates when it's called "year-round swimming" because it has the potential to scare people away from the sport. We believe that young people should be involved in sports and activities beyond swimming. Swimming may ultimately become their primary focus, but that comes later if they decide to take this sport as far as they can.
Registration Costs
CCAC annual registration - $81 due when you register at www.ccacswim.com
USA Swimming registration - We are still waiting for USA Swimming and Georgia Swimming to provide us with this amount, but we anticipate it to be $90. We will bill all returning CCAC members for this portion of the registration on September 1st. All new swimmers will need to complete this registration when USA Swimming opens its portal in September.
Monthly Dues
The card on file will be billed on the 1st of every month. If you need to take a break, just let us know so we can suspend your monthly payment. Please let us know when you're ready to return, and we will reactivate your account.

General Practice Schedule
These are the practices we offer. We do not have practice attendance requirements. We will hold our swimmers accountable to their goals, especially at the Bullet and Senior levels. Two to three practices a week is a good start for our younger age groups. There will be adjustments to the schedule due to swim meets, holidays, and other events. We may move some practices to the outdoor pool in September, October, April, and May if it is available.
Bronze - 5:30-6:30 PM Monday-Friday at DHS
Silver - 5:30-6:45 PM Monday-Friday at DHS
Gold - 5:30-7:00 PM Monday-Friday and 8:00-10:00 AM Saturday at DHS
Bullet 5:30-8:00 PM Monday-Friday and 8:00-10:00 AM Saturday at DHS
Senior 5:30-8:00 PM Monday-Friday and 8:00-10:00 AM Saturday at DHS
The senior group will add practices from 5:30 to 7:00 AM on Tuesdays and Fridays at DHS in mid-September.
Swim Meets
The meet schedule is posted under the EVENTS tab at www.ccacswim.com. We are still completing the March schedule and hope to have it planned by early August. Meet fees vary by meet, but you can estimate $50-$60 per meet your swimmer attends. You do not have to participate in every swim meet. Some meets your swimmer will have to qualify for to attend. We try to offer most of our meets close to home. Generally, a meet is offered every three to four weeks. They can range from a multi-day meet to a single-session meet. We do encourage swimmers to attend at least one day of a meet.

Monday, July 21st - No PM practices for Bronze, Silver, and Gold due to the CCAC/Dalton Dolphins Banquet.
Thursday, July 24th - AM practice is the last practice of the Summer! No PM practices. All of our coaches will be traveling to the State Meets.
Friday, August 1st - Registration for CCAC opens at www.ccacswim.com
Monday, August 11th - CCAC Parent Meeting
Tuesday, August 12th - First day of CCAC practices for the 2025-2026 year!
