CCAC Update 8/26/25

Labor Day Weekend

There will be no practices from Friday to Monday due to the Labor Day Holiday.

 

Voting for CCAC Officers is Open

Please make sure to vote for our new slate of officers by following the link sent to you in an email from Coach Jason earlier today. Voting will remain open until Tuesday, September 9th. Only one vote is allowed per family.

 

Team Suit Fitting

Swim and Tri will be at DHS on Thursday, September 4th, at 6:00 PM for a team suit fitting. We do not require a team suit, but it looks great when everyone wears one at our swim meets. We will send a list of recommended equipment for each group before the fitting.

 

Bronze Group Size

We are excited about all of the new people! The Bronze Group swimmer-to-coach ratio is larger than we would like. We have some swimmers who are ready to move to the Silver Group, which will lower our ratio somewhat. In addition, we have been in discussions with some coaches we have wanted to hire for quite a while, but we needed our numbers to increase before adding another coach to our staff. We are nearing the end of our tryout period for many of our new team members. Once everyone has completed their registration, we will make a final decision on hiring an additional staff member. We have an excellent coach who is interested in working with our Bronze Group beginning in early October.

 

Registrations

We need EVERYONE to complete their CCAC Annual Registration as soon as possible. Even if your swimmer(s) have been on the team for 5 years, we still need you to complete the registration. There are some new updates to SafeSport and our waivers that everyone needs to complete.

 

Baylor Fall Kick-Off Classic

We already have 35 swimmers signed up to attend our first meet of the year! Sign-ups for the Baylor Meet will close on September 4th.

Friday, August 29th - No Practice

Saturday, August 30th - No Practice

Monday, September 1st - No Practice

Tuesday, September 16th - Senior Group begins Tuesday and Friday AM practices

Friday, September 19th - No PM Practice (DHS Campus closed due to Homecoming)

Saturday, September 20th - No Practice (Baylor Fall Kick-Off Meet)
