Here are some basics about billing, meet entries, and volunteering. Please take the time to read through this as it will help you with the basics of navigating the BLST website.
BLST TEAM HANDBOOK
The BLST Team Handbook is available here for the use of both new and returning families. This document outlines the operations of the club and has some great information about swimming in general. If you are new to BLST, this is a great place to start.
THE 'NEW TO SWIMMING' INFORMATION
If you are joining the club for the first time and are not familiar with the sport of swimming, this is a great place to start. We at BLST have a history of having the most dedicated parents and we believe educating the parents along with the swimmers about the sport has been one of our keys to success. This packet includes basic swimming terminology, what to expect at a swim meet, and what to bring to a swim meet (not just a suit and goggles...trust us). Let us know if you have any questions. We recommend checking out "Swimming 101" for some great basic information about the sport. If you have any questions, please let one of the coaches know.
VOLUNTEER CREDIT SYSTEM
By volunteering at home swim meets throughout the year, a family may earn CREDIT towards their next season's bill. For each 'hour' of job postions worked (hours detailed in job sign-ups), your account will accrue a $5 credit. These credits will be applied at the beginning of the next swim season (i.e. credits earned during summer season will be applied during winter season). We need everyone's help to run the best meets in the state, so this is BLST's way of saying THANK YOU for your hard work and time!
