2022 Western Zone Short Course Championship is a wrap, and now they play. MRA had 11 swimmers qualify for Senior Zones this year, a Manta Ray record! 8 of them traveled to St. George, Utah this week to compete in the Short Course version of this event. This last weekend, the Manta Ray Aquatics Swim Team hosted the Inland Empire Jr. Champs Meet, which brought 13 teams from Washington, Oregon, and Idaho together to compete. This event is comprised of 14 & under swimmers and is a last chance qualifying meet for the next level of competition for Inland Empire Swimming, the Junior Olympics meet in Moscow, ID. Last weekend, Manta Ray Aquatics Swim Team had over 15 swimmers travel to the University of Idaho to compete in the Inland Empire’s Junior Olympics Swim Meet. This meet invites swimmers from Idaho, Oregon, and Washington to compete for the top spot in a multitude of swim events. Two swimmers from Moses Lake have breakout swims at the Northwest Conference Championships last week in Federal Way. Freshman swimmers Cole Lindberg of Willamette University and Zachary Washburn of Whitworth University, competed in their college conference championships during their first year of attending their respective schools.
