Time standards are set by Illinois Swimming Inc. (ISI), USA Swimming and the YMCA state and local committees. The standards are provided for various ages, male/female and various pool sizes. The pool sizes include short course yards or SCY (25 yds, typical for indoor meets), short course meters or SCM (25 meters, some indoor meets) & long course meters or LCM (50 meters, typical outdoor meets).
