To have an IMR or IM ready score, the swimmer needs to swim all the events that are appropriate for his/her age group during each season.
IM Xtreme is a program that allows USA Swimming members to compare their times with swimmers all across the nation. One can compare with your team, your LSC (Illinois Swimming), your Zone (Central Zone) and the entire country.
IM Ready uses shorter races in each of the strokes to track your improvements and compare with others like with the IMX.
The faster the time the higher the power points are for each swimmer. For each event (distance and stroke) swimmers are ranked locally and nationally depending on these power point scores in each event, and in all 5 of the events total.
Swimmers completing will receive a certificate and recognition at the end of season banquet.
