It was another strong day for the Pack at the NCSA meet. The highest finish on the day was the boys 800 free relay team finishing second with a 7:37.67. Alistair Guth, Biko Hooper-Haviland, Jackson Heinlein-Preseault and Kale Chow teamed up for the runner up performance with Guth leading off in his first winter junior nationals time. Action kicked off on Friday at the NCSA Junior National meet in Huntsville, Alabama. The night opened with a pair of team records in distance events. I am pleased to share our club has achieved USA Swimming’s Safe Sport Club Recognition. This recognition reflects our commitment to providing a healthy and positive environment free from abuse for all team members. Congrats to CWAC Coach Justin Fernandez who was recognized by the American Swim Coaches Association as one of the top 25 Age Group coaches in the country for medium size teams. The results were compiled using a dataset provided by USA Swimming’s data scientists of swimmers ages 10-14 with qualifying time standards from the 2024 Long Course season and 2024-25 Short Course season. The American Swimming Coaches Association has announced the 2025 Top 50 Age Group Teams for large, medium and small size teams. Working collaboratively with USA Swimming, who provided the data, ASCA updated the criteria to recognize more teams and more coaches who are doing a great job in age group development.
