DCST National Results – Day 1 On the first day of the YMCA National Championships in Greensboro, NC, DCST had 2 National All-Americans and set 4 new team records. Both Daniel Hein and Caitlynn Moon earned National All-American honors for finishing 9th in the 100 yard Backstroke and 1000 yard Freestyle, respectively. In prelims, Daniel finished 14th. DCST Claims IL / MO Area Girls Championship The Kishwaukee YMCA / DeKalb County Swim Team won the 2013 IL / MO Area Girls YMCA Championships with a score of 695 points. Edwardsville was the second place finisher with 664.5 points. This is DCST’s third Girls Championship title. The other two came in 2007 and 2009. DCST has 116 Career Best Times at DCST Open The DCST Open proved to be a very beneficial meet for DCST. As a team, DCST had 116 career best times out of 212 swims for a 56% improvement rate. More importantly, DCST picked up 7 new District Times, 6 new Area Times, and 5 new National Times. DCST’s next meet will be the Northwest Jr. District and District Championships on March 2 and 3 at Illinois Valley. The line-ups for this meet will be posted by Tuesday.
