Meet Records Lead DCST To Victory At Districts DCST won the Northwest District meet in combined scoring, the girl’s division, and the boy’s division. For the weekend, DCST had a good meet with 78 of our 88 swimmers going at least one best time with 215 season best times out of 480 swims for a 45% improvement rate. Cynor Leads DCST At Illinois Swimming Winter Open The Kishwaukee YMCA/Dekalb County Swim Team had three swimmers compete at the Illinois Swimming Winter Open in Westmont, IL. DCST Competes Against Other Teams For The First Time In Five Months The Kishwaukee YMCA/Dekalb County Swim Team held a meet against Ottawa, ILVY, Dixon and Freeport that resulted in a lot of great swims. We had 58 of our 71 participating swimmers go career best times and 131 of our 212 individual swims were best times which calculated out to 62% best times for the team. Hummingbirds can flap their wings as fast as 52 wing beats per second. How many times does Nhia Caras kick her feet per second? Have you watched her? Summer Nationals 2017 Our last day of swims in Greensboro, NC. We have had an exciting week. Everyone should be safe and sound with their families now. They have had to abandon the swim team due to structural concerns at their facility. Their team members will have to find a new team, new coaches, and new teammates. Matt Anderson Hired as New DCST Senior Coach The Kishwaukee Y is honored to announce that they have hired Matt Anderson as their new Senior Coach for DCST. Coach Anderson is a former DCST age group swimmer who went on to swim at NIU. During his senior year at NIU, he was named team captain. While at NIU, Coach Anderson was also an assistant coach for DCST. After graduation, he then spent 5 years as the Assistant Men and Women’s Swimming Coach at NIU. He then left DeKalb to become...
