Bridge
The Bridge group has a wide range of ages, but all swimmers in this group are of similar ability. In the Bridge group, swimmers are working on improving all four competitive strokes, as well as starts and turns. Swimmers are also learning how a structured practice runs and proper practice habits that will set them up for long-term success.
Practices
The Bridge group typically practices 3 times per week. Practices shift away from sessions and are offered year-round. Swimmers are expected to attend a minimum of 2 practices per week. That said, swimmers are encouraged to attend all practices offered to maximize both their progression and enjoyment of our team and sport.
Meets
Swimmers in the Bridge group are ready to be introduced to more competition. Still, they are encouraged to remain selective in the meets and events they participate in, allowing them more time to develop confidence in their racing skills. Parents should talk with the coaching staff before registering for any meet.
Training Equipment
Aside from the essentials (swimsuit and goggles), we don't expect swimmers to come to practice with equipment. Suits should be one-piece for girls and jammers for boys, and goggles should cover the eyes only. We will provide any other equipment needed!
