Fundraising & Sponsorships

Fundraising Policy – Short Course Season:

Fundraising in an important part of ensuring that GREAT remains affordable and accessible to all swimmers. Swim meets and monthly dues provide the team with a portion of the money necessary to cover expenses, but are not enough to solely support the team. Fundraising requires 100% participation by all families and each family is required to raise a minimum amount of funds each year. GREAT offers a variety of ways to meet your fundraising obligation.

  1. Swim-A-Thon: The team hosts an annual Swim-A-Thon, which is a special fundraiser associated with USA Swimming. Swimmers of all levels can participate by receiving pledges in advance of the event. All donations are tax deductible.
  2. Corporate Sponsor: Corporate Sponsorships gives your family the option of raising funds by asking businesses and outside sponsors for donations. See GREAT’s Sponsorship Opportunities on the website or contact the Board at [email protected] for all of the exciting sponsorship opportunities. All sponsorship donations are tax deductible, as we are a non-profit organization.

The expectation for the fundraising obligation is a minimum of $100 per family. Any family that may have difficulty meeting this amount can contact the Board of Directors at [email protected]. If you have not met your fundraising obligation by the end of the season, or if you leave GREAT to the end of the season, the prorated portion of your fundraising obligation will be invoiced to your account and billed to your card on file.
