Refund Policy Statement

The North Irvine Knight's Swim Team (NI Knights) Registration fee is the major source of income to the team. It is used primarily for coaches salaries and payroll taxes, supplies, equipment purchase and maintenance.

Virtually all of the team's expenses are fixed, meaning that once the team commits to conducting another season then the expenses are the same regardless of the number of swimmers on the team.

At Registration, each swimmer will pay registration fees, which includes $60 registration fee for Irvine Swim League. This year, the NI Knights fee is $340 (swimmers ages 5-12), and $240 for swimmers 13-18.

Refund Policy:

  • Swim families wishing to withdraw from the team and be considered for a refund, as outlined below, must properly notify the current Board in writing or by e-mail. Such notification should go to the Team Treasurer and Team Registrar.
  • If a swimmer drops from the team before May 1, 2024, then a full refund of the NI Knights fees will be issued (minus $10 processing fee if original form of payment was paid by credit card online) regardless of whether or not the team has a waitlist.                                                                                              
  • If a swimmer drops from the team between May 1, 2024-May 28, 2024, and a wait listed family completes the registration process with the ISL, then a full refund (minus $10 processing fee if original form of payment was paid by credit card online) will be issued.
  • Full refunds in this situation will only be issued after the wait listed family is officially added to the ISL roster. If there is no family to take their place due to no waitlist, then the NI Knights Registration Fees will NOT be refunded
  • As of May 28, 2024 the North Irvine Knights Registration Fee is non-refundable.
  • For your information, the ISL's registration refund policy is as follows: If a swimmer wishes to drop before May 28, 2024, they will receive a $60 refund.
