The Woodbury Waves Swim Team is looking forward to another fantastic swim season! As a community team, we can only accept families that are part of the Woodbury Homeowners Association (i.e., living within the Woodbury community). This does not include Woodbury East as those families have a separate homeowners association. For more general information about the Irvine Swim League and our team, please check out Information.
Thank you for your interest in Woodbury Waves. We will start the registration process for the 2025 season on March 1, 2025. Registration will be first open to returning families, then prior year wait-listed families, finally current year interest list families. We will likely not know the number of spots available for current year interest list families till March 20, 2025. If there are more interests than spots available, spots will be offered based on the order of interest/documentation submission.
Please note that our team generally fills up very quickly as our existing swimmers typically return season after season, and we also have overwhelming interests for the team from new swimmers every year.
As such, we will only be collecting interest list for new families for the 2025 season during our Open Interest Period, which is from February 1, 2025 through March 15, 2025 only unless the team is not filled up by then.
After March 15, 2025, please consider reaching back out starting February 1, 2026 to be considered for the 2026 season. Membership for Woodbury Waves fills up quickly, we recommend reaching out as soon as the Open Interest Period for 2026 season opens.
Interest List:
New families who are interested in joining our team, please make sure to complete all the following,
1) Send an email to Woodbury Waves Registrar expressing your interest. Failure to send an email to the registrar email address will jeopardize being put on the interest list.
2) Additionally, please fill out and submit a qualification form along with the necessary documentation to the following secured dropbox link. Please see the qualification form for more details on all documentations required.

You will be placed on the interest list upon receipt of all the necessary documentation, and you will receive an email from our registrar that you are officially placed on the interest list. If you do not receive an email confirmation within 5 days after sending an email to the registrar email and submitting all the necessary documents to the dropbox, please feel free to reach back out to the registrar email.
In the event that there are more interests than spots available, spots will be offered in the order the interest/complete documents were received.
New Process for Proof of Age and Proof of Residency - For new swimmers who currently attend IUSD, please note that both ISL and Woodbury Waves now accepts and prefers the IUSD Parent Portal Student Info page for both Proof of Age and Proof of Residency. This means you can submit the IUSD Parent Portal Student Info page along with a copy of the parent's legal identification to the dropbox link provided above. For a sample of the IUSD Parent Portal Student Info Page. Please make sure the IUSD Parent Portal Student Info page clearly shows the swimmer's address and date of birth.
The Dates for 2024 Registration:
Returning Family/Priority Registration: March 1 to March 15, 2025
New Family Registration: March 20, 2025 (Invites will be sent by the Waves Registrar depending on the number of spots available. Please DO NOT register without an invitation)
No Team Registration refunds on or after this date: May 1, 2025
No ISL Registration Fee refund on or after this date: May 31, 2025
