Fueling and Hydrating for Performance Presentation

Join us Saturday November 4th at 1:30pm at Loyola Academy for a presentation on fueling and hydrating for swim training to optimize fuel, energy, and recovery, as well as nutrition and hydration strategies for swim meet day.

Monique Ryan, MS, RDN, CSSD, LDN is owner of Personal Nutrition Designs, LLC a nutrition consultation private practice based in Evanston and founded in 1992. She has counseled hundreds of endurance athletes including swimmers, marathon runners, triathletes, and cyclists for the past three decades. Monique has consulted with USA Triathlon, USA Cycling, and the Saturn Cycling Team and Team Type 1 Men’s Professional cycling Team, and the Timex Multisport Team. She was a Subject Matter Expert for Ironman™ for their coaching certification program.

She is the author of Sports Nutrition for Endurance Athletes, 3rd edition and has contributed articles to VeloNews- The Journal of Competitive Cycling, Inside Triathlon, Outside, Runner’s World and Oxygen.

Monique has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Master of Science Degree in Nutrition. She is a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. Monique has competed in the sports of road cycling, mountain biking, and is currently a triathlete and has completed eight Ironman 70.3 races.
