SST Call for Officials

SST is currently looking to expand our ability to host meets at our pool, both outdoor and indoor. One of the difficulties we have with this is getting officials.    Becoming an official or judge with USA Swimming is handled by our Local Swim Committee, LSC, Illinois Swimming.   The process includes becoming a Non-Athlete Member of USA Swimming. 

Illinois Swimming does offer online courses andit starts with as a Stroke and Turn Officials Clinic.  

SST will reimburse members who are able to complete the training and start officiating.  SST is able to reimburse the out-of-pocket cost for the USA Swimming Care or Membership, background check, and mileage to training if onsite instead of online.   The SST Board is working on additional incentives for Officials if we have some interest from our members.  Please reach out if you have questions about the process to become a USA Swimming Official.
