Where to start if I have a concern

When making the decision to report a concern you have, it can feel overwhelming and intimidating. You are always able to speak with any of our coaches about any concern. Coach Lisa Harkrader is our Safe Sport champion and will be more than willing to speak with you about any concern. 

These guidelines are in place from USA Swimming and Safe Sport to help you know what to do.

If your report deals with any of the following:

  • Sexual misconduct
  • Sexual harrasment
  • Sexually Explicit/Inappropriate Communication through Social Media

Please contact the U.S. Center for Safe Sport to make a report.  Use the Online Reporting Form, call (720) 524-5640, or find more information at www.SafeSport.org

 

If your concern deals with any of the following:

  • Criminal Charges
  • Use, Sale, or Distribution of illegal drugs
  • Physical Abuse
  • Inappropriate touching
  • Lap sitting
  • Coaches sharing hotel rooms with athletes
  • Rubdowns or Massages preformed by coaches
  • Pictures or videos taken in locker rooms or changing areas

If your concern deals with any of the following:

  • Fraud
  • Deception
  • Recruiting

Please make a report through our Zone Board of Review by contacting Patrick Garrett ([email protected]).

 

If your concern deals with any of the following:

  • Peer to Peer Bullying
  • Adult to Athlete bullying
  • Parent Issues
  • Violations of team rules and team code of conduct

Please make a report to your head group coach, Coach Lisa Harkrader ([email protected]​), or Kristine Schmidt ([email protected]​)
