GREAT WAVES AQUATICS
The Great Waves Vision is to create a fun, exciting, elite, and diverse swim team that helps each individual realize their potential in the great sport of swimming. Along the way, life lessons will be learned that will help the individual become the best person they can be. This is a process to achieve over a career, not a season. Each swimmer will have a plan to improve throughout their time with Great Waves. If they wish to continue to swim after their time with Great Waves, they will have the ability to keep improving in a way that they will not burn out in our program. We want their experience to be life-changing.
TO BE THE BEST SWIMMER/PERSON YOU CAN BE:
1. Practice, practice, practice! Hard, smart, and with intent. With open ears and mind. If you practice hard and consistently: you will be a better swimmer! Make the changes your coaches suggest! Every stroke, length, practice!!
2. Eat healthy, drink lots of water, and get plenty of sleep. Treat your body well.
3. Listen to your body, if you need rest or a break- take a rest or break! We don’t want to burn kids out of swimming. But make sure you communicate with your coach what you need etc.
4. Respect your coaches, parents, and team mates. Be a leader and help to create a great atmosphere at practice, meets, and team events. Be the leader that Great Waves Swimmers strive to be.
