How You Can Help
1. Volunteer as a Coach or Marshal
We are always looking for volunteers to help coach the students. You will need to get in the water and must know how to blow bubbles comfortably. You will be trained how to teach the rest of the stations on site. The pools are heated to 80 degrees and we will provide a wet suit for you. We use at least 6 coaches at each site to keep up our quality of one instructor per five students. The programme currently runs throughout the school year in the mornings between 9:00am and 12 noon, depending on the number of students that sign up.
Marshals are needs to supervisewith the bussing of the students to and from their schools and pool.
People have volunteered as a Coaches from all walks of life:
- Housewives
- Swim Coaches
- Retirees
- Home-schooled students
- Business owners
- People in between jobs
- PE teachers

- Parents of students
- Shift workers

- Masters swimmers
2. Become a financial supporter
Each year Let’s Swim Bahamas has to raise money to cover costs for Coach’s stipends and bussing fees. We also have a Scholarship Program for students who wish to continue to swim with an after school program. Let’s Swim Bahamas ensures that the Clubs where the swimmers are taking lessons are registered with The Bahamas Aquatics Federation and are running viable programs. We also follow up any swimmer on a scholarship to make sure they are actually attending their classes.
We are looking for sponsors to help cover these expenses. All sponsors will receive an end of year expense and written report along with a statistical analysis of the number of students who took lessons and what Station they are working on.
