Print out and become familiar with the team meet schedule posted in the beginning of October. This schedule includes tentative due dates for entries. Weekly emails, Monthly Newsletters, as well as meet emails and text messages will be emailed out about important due dates - please keep a close eye on these as meets tend to close out quickly.

Meet hosts must adhere to a 4 hour per session time limit. Once entries are received, they are able to provide estimated timelines based on all of their entires received. Once that time limit is reached, the meet/sessions close out.

Between Parents, swimmers and coaches - the events should vary from meet to meet - please do not sign up for the same events every meet. USA meets offer a variety of events that swimmers are unable to swim in the GSJSL.  Please note that The coaches will have the final say in what events the swimmers are entering, and make any changes they see necessary.

Entries for meets are done online through the meet event by hitting "ACCEPT" and entering the event numbers in the notes. Please note that age up date for all USA meets is the swimmers age of the meet.

All fees for meets we enter as a team are billed directly to your credit card on file, unless stated otherwise.

Entry fees are typically $5-$10 per individual event for most short course meets held within the Middle Atlantic LSC.

If there is a meet with relays - please note that the coaching staff will pick relays, therefore these do not have to be paid for by you - they will be paid for by the swim team.

Be sure to write down and save the events for which you register at each meet.  If at any time you want to see what events you have signed up for just click on "Events" on the main menu just as if you were to register for a meet.  Find the meet in question and click on "Attend This Event".  This should give you the entries for that meet for all swimmers under your account.

You must complete your entries by the entry deadline posted for OUR TEAM.  This deadline is always available when the meet is posted and emailed out to everyone.  You can also find this deadline on the Event page.  Late entries may not be accepted - if they are, there is a $10 deck seed charge per event

Here are the steps if you ARE NOT GOING:

  • Click on the Member Names [they default to Not Committed]
  • Then click on the Signup Record pull-down and select No
  • If No, just click on the [Save Changes] button to save the changes
  • If you have more than one child, repeat the same task as listed above

Here are the steps if you ARE GOING:

  • Click on the Signup Record pull-down and select Yes
  • Once yes is selected, you will see the events your child MAY be eligible to swim
  • You will also see the best times inserted into the Entry Time field and highlighted in yellow
  • Check the Checkbox to the left of the name for those events you would like to swim
  • Please take careful notice of the time standards that must be met in the right-side columns
  • Once you have finished, click on the Save Changes Button in the lower right
  • Repeat the process for additional swimmers
  • You will notice that Coach Approval column will indicate Pending after you submit
  • Please pay careful attention to:
    - Maximum Event Entry Limitations IF PRESENT. Click on the >>View if present.
    - Add any notes that you want the Coach or Administrator to see
Your coach or team administrator will review your declaration and APPROVE or REJECT your request and once they submit the final choices you will be able to review by signing in and clicking on the Attend This Event button for any events listed on our team website. Look at the Coach Approval column for the events that you have been confirmed to swim.
