Job Title: Learn-to-Swim Instructor

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and passionate Learn-to-Swim Instructor to join Parkland Swim Club. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels. This role requires strong communication skills, a patient demeanor, and a dedication to promoting water safety and confidence in our swimmers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct safe and effective swim lessons for individuals or small groups, adhering to established curriculum and lesson plans.

  2. Evaluate swimmers' abilities and progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.

  3. Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering confidence and enthusiasm among swimmers.

  4. Demonstrate proper swim techniques and safety protocols, emphasizing water safety skills.

  5. Collaborate with fellow instructors and supervisors to continuously improve lesson delivery and program effectiveness.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience instructing swim lessons preferred, but not required.

  • Strong swimming skills and proficiency in various strokes and techniques is preferred, but not required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with swimmers, and colleagues.

  • Patient, encouraging demeanor, with a passion for teaching and promoting water safety.

  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.

  • Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to maintaining lesson schedules and responsibilities.

Schedule: Part-time positions available, Two 1 hour sessions per week.
