MINIS GROUP REQUIREMENTS
This is a group of athletes that are beginners. This group serves as an introduction to competitive swimming. They are a step out of the lesson program; this group is designated for those kids that have little to no experience with competition and/or need to work to master all 4 strokes. In this group, it is important to work on learning and demonstrating the fundamentals of each of the strokes.

-Complete a 25 freestyle unassisted -Complete a 25 backstroke unassisted |

GRAY GROUP REQUIREMENTS
This group is for beginner athletes who may have some competitive experience. Many of these swimmers started on summer swim teams or in our LTS or Minis programs. They continue to work on mastering the 4 strokes. This group will be introduced to training sets. They are going to move towards reading practices, understanding the clock and then running basic swimming sets as a group.

RED GROUP REQUIREMENTS
This group is for our top 9-year-old swimmers, as well as swimmers ages 10-14. This group will focus on perfecting stroke technique with an equal emphasis on endurance training. Athletes will work on improving starts and turns. Athletes will perform sets using the pace clock. Athletes will try the 500 freestyle at an upcoming meet.

BLACK GROUP REQUIREMENTS
This group is our top Age Group athletes. These swimmers understand that they are working to improve strength, work capacity and power; all skills required to meet the goals of this sport. This group requires a level of general fitness that is for highly competitive athletes. They will engage in highly demanding and competitive training. These athletes are preparing to be part of the Senior group. Swimmers in this group are encouraged to attend all practices including dryland.

SENIOR GROUP REQUIREMENTS
This is our top-level training group, designed for high school athletes who are committed to elevating their performance and competing at a high level throughout the 2025-2026 season. Swimmers in this group prioritize their sport: they train with intensity, race with purpose, and represent PSC with professionalism. They embrace a mindset of compete to improve and train to perform, combining focused training in the pool with personal accountability outside of it. This group will use a variety of training tactics and equipment, as well as supplemental dryland. These athletes will compete often as well as end the Winter session with a championship meet.
Senior Group athletes are leaders both in and out of the water. They are expected to uphold team standards, including punctuality, consistent effort, coachability, and support for their teammates. These swimmers are working to compete at the highest levels—Silver Champs, Senior Champs, High School Districts and States, Futures, Junior Nationals, and beyond.

| Attendance: |
Athletes are required to attend 90% of the practices. Athletes must email Coach Faikish at [email protected] if they are going to miss a practice. Please make sure to include another adult on all communications. Dryland is MANDATORY |
