Our Senior Groups had a ton of fun during their gingerbread house competition. They created some amazing displays and the coaches had a difficult time picking the winners. Happy Holidays to our UMLY families!
The Senior Groups got into the holiday spirit yesterday with a group breakfast, a gingerbread house competition, and some games. Many thanks for our Senior Group parent reps (Kari Hutto, Suzanne Scheel, Patricia Muldowney, and Shannon Sikirika) for arranging this event for our athletes!
UMLY tore it up in Richmond, VA this past weekend at the East Coast Winterfest meet! There were many best times and our athletes - and parents - bonded together over the long weekend. We also surprised Coach Owen with some birthday balloons on deck. Way to go, UMLY!
Our Washington League girls team exhibited tons of team spirit between their signs and cheering at the dual meet against WCAY yesterday. Way to go, UMLY!
Age Group 1 Blue celebrated the season with their “Thankful” event on Sunday, November 17th. The team-bonding event was filled with gratitude, turkey trivia, laughter, and cinnamon donuts! Coach Jamie led the festivities.
Our Senior Groups held their Friendsgiving event today and it was filled with laughter, delicious food, and gratitude! They came together not just as teammates, but as a family celebrating the bonds they've built both in and out of the pool. From sharing stories and memories to expressing gratitude for one another, it was a wonderful event. In the spirit of giving, each swimmer also wrote a heartfelt message of gratitude to our veterans at the Veterans Hospital in Coatesville. We are lucky to have such a supportive and amazing...
UMLY traveled to Toms River, NJ this past weekend for the Great Turkey Invitational. We saw some great swimming this early in the season. Looking forward to seeing what the rest of the season brings. Go UMLY!
To be a part of UMLY means to be a part of something greater than yourself. Our Senior Group Swimmers came together to fill 10 bags of gratitude for families in the community who are in need of assistance. These bags contain everything needed for these families to have an amazing Thanksgiving dinner. Way to go UMLY Senior Group Swimmers for carrying out one of the missions of the YMCA!
Yesterday, Age Group 1 Blue soaked up the beautiful Fall weather and had a pumpkin painting contest, ate some food, and enjoyed time out of the pool together. Many thanks to Age Group 1 Blue Parent Reps Siobhan Hummel and Jennifer Crossan for planning this event!
