Illinois YMCA Swimming - State Records

Illiniois YMCA Swimming Records are Kept for both Short Course Yards and Long Course Meters.

For a swim to be considered for a State Record it must have been swum on or after May 4^th, 2013. The swim must have taken place at a meet that uses USA Swimming Technical Rules. The swimmer must be representing their YMCA team at the meet. The swimmers age the first day of the meet will determine their age classification for the purpose of records.

State Championship Meet Records for both Short Course and Long Course are kept and can be located in the State Rule Book.

The Illinois YMCA Swimming Committee and the YMCA Districts were established with the purpose of governing YMCA competitive swimming in the State of Illinois as well as conducting YMCA Swimming Championships. These Championships are governed by the current National YMCA "Rules That Govern YMCA Competitive Sports," the Rules Governing Illinois YMCA Swimming Competition and, to the extent not inconsistent with the foregoing and current USA Swimming Technical Rules.
