Casey Brandt
Program Director
Co-Head Coach
High School Group Lead
 
Coach Casey has worked with a broad range of swimmers since the late 1980s. In Charles County, he taught lessons and coached summer league with Hawthorne Country Club and Smallwood Village. Casey swam collegiately at Loyola College in Baltimore, where he was a two-time captain, team MVP, and conference MVP.
While in Baltimore, Casey coached for the Mariner Swim Club under his former age-group coach, Jan Mittemeyer. He also served as the assistant coach for Loyola College under head coach Brian Loeffler.  Casey coached with Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics in New York City under head coach Brian Brown from 2004-2007.
 
Returning to Maryland in 2007, Casey began coaching with the Chesapeake Bay Aquatic Club. In 2016, Casey also took over as head coach of the St. Mary’s College of Maryland swim program.
 
Throughout his career, he has been fortunate to have the opportunity to continue working with every level of the sport.
Connor Alsheimer

Swim Lessons Coordinator
 
Coach Connor has been coaching 10 and under swimming since 2017 and teaching lessons since 2014. He stepped into a leadership role as Deck Coordinator for the swim lessons program in 2017. Connor spent 2 years assisting under multiple highly experienced coaches before taking a position as the 10 & Under Group Lead for CBAC in 2019. His swimming career started in 2007.
 
In the summer of 2020, in addition to leading the 10 & Under group, Coach Connor began assisting under Casey Brandt and Alison Fettus-Shenot, gaining experience coaching Age Group and Senior swimmers. Connor took on the role of assistant coach for the St. Mary’s College of Maryland swim team for the 2020-2021 season, and helped coach the women’s team to the Atlantic East Conference Championship. Coach Connor was a member of the coaching staff at St. Mary’s when they were awarded the Coaching Staff of the Year by the coaches of the Atlantic East Conference.
 
Connor’s ambitions as a coach are to provide high-quality swimming education for young athletes and to develop a love for swimming and competition in athletes at a young age.

Sam Meisel
Elementary Group Lead
Swim Lessons Instructor

Coach Sam joined the Seahawks Aquatics coaching staff after graduating from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in the spring of 2025 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Neuroscience. For the capstone project of his degree, Sam studied motor memory in swimming.  Sam brings 14 years of competitive swimming experience as an athlete, including four years on the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Men’s Swim Team. 

Sam spent seven years teaching swim lessons at FINS Swimming in Bethesda, Maryland, where he gained experience teaching fundamental skills and stroke foundations. Sam began coaching competitive swimmers in the summer of 2024, when he took an assistant coaching position with the Tilden Woods Swim Team working with age group swimmers. Sam spent the summer of 2025 coaching alongside and learning from the coaching staffs at University of Florida, University of Virginia, and Northwestern University. 

Bringing a diverse knowledge of the sport and a passion for skill learning Sam is excited to work with Seahawk Aquatic’s age group swimmers.

Marissa Fields
Development Group Lead

Coach Marissa joined the Seahawk Aquatics coaching staff in 2025 after graduating from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in the Spring of 2024.  Marissa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in both Economics, and Business Administration & Management. She brings six years of competitive swimming experience as an athlete, including three years on the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Women’s Swim Team. Marissa was named Captain of the Women’s Swim Team her senior year at St. Mary’s College.

During her years as a student at St. Mary’s College, Marissa worked as a Swim Instructor for the Seahawk Aquatics Swim Lessons Program where she gained experience working with a variety of ages and ability levels, teaching the foundational mechanics of the sport. In the Spring of 2025, Marissa took over as Lead Coach of the Elementary Development Group, where she has had the pleasure of coaching many of the kids who she taught while she was an Instructor for the Lessons Program. In the Fall of 2025, Coach Marissa took over the Middle/High School Development Group in addition to the Elementary Development Group

Marissa is excited to lead the Development Groups, and hopes to inspire young swimmers who are getting started in the sport.
