Maryland Glitz



Maryland Glitz Class Rules & Expectations:

  • In order to provide quality instruction, all athletes are asked to be on their best behavior during class.  Poor behavior will result in immediate dismissal from the class enrollment.
  • Maryland Glitz is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. 
  • Athletes may bring a water/sports drink into the gym and must take it with them after leaving the class. No food is permitted inside the gym.
  • *EDITED FOR COVID-19* - Our waiting room is CLOSED until further notice. Children will be called into the gym by a staff member. (Hand sanitizing stations will be set up for all athletes immediately upon entrance.) Parents may enter to make a payment or use the restroom. We will announce when this rule has changed. 
  • Athletes should remain in class unless they need to use the bathroom or there is an emergency.  Athletes are never to leave the gym building without their parents and/or guardians. Once your athlete has concluded their class. Athletes must exit the gym and wait in the lobby for their guardian.
  • Maryland Glitz respectfully demands that discussions and comments involving children other than your own and be avoided at all costs. Please remember that all parents and friends need to feel comfortable in this environment. Remember the rules of common courtesy.
  • Coaches are available before or after classes.  Class times are not the appropriate time to discuss issues/concerns with Maryland Glitz coaches and instructors.
  • In any event, situation, incident, or problem that may arise that is not specifically stated or covered within this set of rules and guidelines, will be acted upon at the discretion of the owners, and coaching staff of the organization.

Maryland Glitz Class & Registration Policy:

  • Maryland Glitz has the right to modify, change and delete classes due to low enrollment of the current class. Maryland Glitz will try its hardest to accommodate class needs to the best of our ability.
  • Instructors have the right to determine the level of your tumbling class.
  • Registration is first come first served. The system is updated throughout the course of the day for any drop request for any open availability.
  • Class registration is open until (2) hours prior to the class start time.
  • Please note that due to scheduling conflicts, illness, etc., class coaches may vary without prior notification.
  • 24-hour notice is required for attendance updates.  Please email [email protected]
  • Closures due to weather will be determined at least 2 hours prior to the start times of the class. 
  • Class pricing, duration and availabilty may vary.

Maryland Glitz Class Dress Code:

  • Bottom: shorts - preferably spandex or capris 
  • Tops: t-shirt or tank, girls must wear sports bras or leotards beneath their tops (all ages)
  • Shoes: all students should wear some type of athletic sneakers (cheer sneakers preferred)
  • Hair: Up in ponytail, away from face and shoulders

IMPORTANT: Please remove all jewelry (including earrings) before arriving. If you cannot remove earrings, they must be covered with bandaids.


Maryland Glitz Class Make Up Policy
(For Online Sign Ups ONLY)

  • Tumbling Classes: If your child misses a class, he/she can make it up by attending another class of equal level or lower.. Make up classes MUST be made up in the session that you are registered for. (Please email [email protected] to find out if a makeup session is available.) Make class must be approved by the Maryland Glitz Class Administrator.
  • All Classes: If, for any reason, Maryland Glitz cancels a class, you will be notified via email. The e-mail may or may not give you the exact date and time of the make-up class.

Maryland Glitz Refund Policy (For Online Sign Ups ONLY)

  • No refunds will be given for any missed classes. 
  • Refunds will be issued in the form of a class credit for remaining unattended classes if there is an athlete injury. This injury must be proven with a doctor’s note.
  • Refunds will be issued to your Maryland Glitz account. You may put them towards other camps, classes, or private instruction, if approved.
